42/43 would fit me perfect. I decided to get the 41mm as I think 45 is just over the limit for me. But I was super worried the 41 would be too small.

initially I was a little underwhelmed. But after days of use I’m so so glad I went for the smaller size, it looks like a proper watch, and I just appreciate the size for working out and sleep tracking.
Would you mind posting a picture of your new watch on your wrist?

So what is the verdict with the 41?
Compared to the old school 42, the 41 is 1.5mm shorter and 1.4mm less wide
the 45 is 2.5mm taller and 1.6mm wider.
The old school 42 would've been the perfect dimensions.

Wish i knew. Looks like i'm not getting it today afterall... TNT still says today until 18:00 (which is in 30min), but package has not moved since yesterday, so i don't think it will happen.

I think my "problem" is that without changes in size I don't get that kick of having bought a real novelty. I tend to move through different sizes in my gadget upgrades because often otherwise they wouldn't feel that new to me. It's a bit sad but on the other hand it shows how good those things have become now that there's nothing much to improve anymore.
Another thought I often have is that for us females it doesn't matter if the phone is too big. It won't fit our pockets anyway. We mostly have to carry it in a bag even if it's small. But that's a whole other can of worms.
A solution for you?

Nah, it's a computer you strap to your wrist more than a watch, at least that's how I think of it. In any other universe this would be seen as the most nerdy look you could imagine, but we are talking Apple here. Functionally it's great because my old dying eyes can finally read the text. I have the 45mm and I'd even go larger.

Finally got the smaller one too... here's my take on it from another topic:

It is hard to go for the smaller screen, when you have seen the bigger one. Especially when you see notifications for eMails etc... it just looks so much better on the bigger screen. Obviously also makes it easier to interact with things.
I also like the look of the bigger watch on my arm better. Feels more modern. Back when the S4 was released i prefered the smaller look, which is interesting.

The smaller one is much more comfortable though.
My arm actually hurts a little bit from the bigger one... hopefully i just need to get used to it.

I'll just wear it for a few days and see if i can get used to it and the smaller one will likely go back.
The smaller one also has some imperfect stitching and i would have to exchange the band since Hermes is so expensive. which makes me feel a bit better about having to return a watch that someone else could have gotten as new ?

That is such a good point. I could go back and forth on just how significant the larger display is, but having worn an S7 for seven days now, what you said is (to me) perfectly accurate. Big deal or not, going back would feel difficult. That's actually an interesting and different perspective on the question whether an upgrade is "worth it" or not. You might answer that question one way moving "up" but answer it differently going back/"down."

So maybe the question of whether it is worth the upgrade can only be answered after having worn the new one for a week.

What was your battery drain like during your half? Did you have your phone, AOD on, streaming from lte or music stored on watch?
I ran Saturday to check it properly, and I used 45%. I had AOD, streamed music, replied to a couple of messages.

I bet that streaming music really wears the battery down, even more than the AOD does.

The watch itself isn’t really bigger, or not to the naked eye anyway. The screen is bigger is noticeably bigger but not the watch.
Really? It looks bigger on my wrist, and my stainless steel link band is now too loose (and if I remove a segment, it's too tight) ... lol. In my opinion the increased size and weight (all of my watches are and have always been, stainless steel) is very noticeable. I wish they'd been able to keep the chassis size the same, while simply shrinking the bezels a little more. ?

I've noticed that too. On my wrist and in my band sizes. My solo loops in 5 are now too big. Tried size 4 instead, but it's a bit too tight.

This is what I am worried about! I found the size 4 loop too small for my S6. I now use a sports loop all the time (which can be adjusted to fit). I hope the sports loop still will fit with the S7.

Thanks for sharing and nice run! Not bad considering the fast charge will get you back to near 100% during a shower.
