Red is not limited to any gender. It is the most stunning eye catching and attention getter color in the color world. I love my red iPhone as it is the most beautiful gorgeous iPhone color ever made and keeps getting attention all the time as I love to have all attention I can get :)

You right but this is EXACTLY why I do not have a red car in a county that is short on revenue and long on bored sheriff's deputies in the waning days of summer.

As for the color: red is great for anyone. Love my old black and red U2 edition iPod. Love my red and white nano. Looking for a red winter rat car I can drive in snow at the speed limit lol.

Are you talking about the rose iPhone cause that's not red that's pink, why would a guy have a problem with an actual red iPhone. The rose gold wouldn't be great for first impressions, such as a professional job interview, but you shouldn't have your phone out then anyway. Women don't care what color your phone is, they will however care that you're asking random strangers online about minuscule decisions in your life that you should be making yourself if you're a "man". Dwayne Johnson could have a pink iPhone and still scare the testosterone right out of another dude with his confidence. To be blunt, get a grip and don't think about what other people think so much

Not entirely sure why you think it would make a 'bad impression' for a bloke to own a Rose gold iPhone in a job interview or wherever? A few of my male mates own them and 2 senior Directors at my work have them. Bizarre the impressions some here have.

lol something in the water. We're in a strange era at least in the USA. I love my iPhone SE and sometimes put a red case on it. that's about as close to a red iPhone as I'm gonna get for awhile, only because my iPod still desperately needs an upgrade and has kept getting bumped back in favor of stuff like... a space gray SE now suited up in red.

How can you say Dwayne Johnson can have a pink iPhone and pull it off?

Well no kidding. But most guys don't look like him.

It's the well known effect of the iPhone's innate reality distortion field, no? Even if as you say, the look of Dwayne Johnson might suggest that whatever kind of iPhone he might decide to carry, it's all good.

Red is good. Advertisers know this, even if they do kinda slur the color sometimes with a joke about marketing:

Make it good. If you can't make it good, make it big. If you can't make it big, make it red.

The point of my comment about Dwayne Johnson was that if you have confidence in yourself you shouldn't care what other people think. If your asking this question you obviously lack confidence, and if a silver phone makes you more confident and a pink phone will just make you feel more insecure and question what people think of you, go for the silver. Pink is very different than red in terms of design and visual psychology. I think our American culture has put too much emphasis on status symbols, which phones have become to some point, and there have become stereotypes about people owning certain phones. It's ridiculous that someone would consider themselves better for owning a different colored phone or placing someone else into a certain class of gay or non manly for owning a pink phone. I, however, must join in because this is so ridiculously fun reading everyone's reaction to this thread

It's about image more than anything else.

Market yourself in a way you want to be perceived.

Sometimes it's the little things that matter most and say the most about someone

With all due respect, that's B.S.
Be the person who you want to be. Nothing else matters. Once you understand that, you're better than the people who care about the superficial stuff.

And --- it's not about marketing yourself, or even caring a whit what others think about you.
It's about being real, and being true to yourself. That's your path!
(I hope that doesn't come off being sarcastic - not my intent :D )

I agree. It says a lot about a person who would seek advice from people that don't know them on something so trivial like what colour phone is ok to purchase.

I never said don't be yourself. But having a certain image can help one be themselves at the same time bc it can help them achieve their goals.

Is this thread serious? So far I've had many compliments on my red iPhone ... male and female ... something I never encountered before with my black or silver iPhones. I put it in a clear case because I like the red color. I guess it just pops to people more. I don't think it really matters what color your phone is. If you like "rose gold" you should get rose gold. You shouldn't base your purchase on what other people think. You should get what you enjoy.

This is horse crap. It's just a phone. Don't try and mold yourself to what you think other people want you to be. Be you. The color of your phone isn't going to help you achieve your goals.

Not true. I bought the matte black 7+ to portray myself as a bad ass, when in reality I'm just a big wuss. It's worked wonders for me.
That has more to do with you than the phone. Your phone doesn't make you a bad ass. You do. And thinking you're a wuss makes you a wuss in your mind. Your thoughts are your reality. Change your perception and your whole universe changes.

Do you not know sarcasm?

Yeah but don't spoil it... :p

The thread is starting to make out like an iPhone might be one of the mythical treasures of Zork. "Sad!"

I'm sorry but due to your username assumed gender type, you cannot use anything that is green, blue, or masculine or I will think less of you! And you don't want that because that's gunna make you feel bad. You want my acceptance. Yes. Yes you do.

Ok that was just creepy. I need to stay away from attempting sarcasm.

Not sure if you quoted me by mistake. I'm not in disagreement of a man having or wearing anything red at all. I stated if a man has to question if he SHOULD wear/use/have anything red in colour of an inanimate object then there is something within that needs to be checked - not the product itself, nor the colour. So I think you clearly misunderstood my point/opinion and statment.

Cheers..

You clearly don't get what being yourself actually means.
It means if you want a red phone, you get a red phone. You don't go online and ask people if it's okay.

No offence, but I get the impression that you're pretty young. Hopefully you'll get it someday. Unfortunately some people never do, and they spend their whole lives trying to create an image to impress other people.
