I'm sorry but it's there work email address that's directly related to this issue and yes I was told it's policy to do that after 3 refurbs , I didn't kick up anything I just spoke the truth and proved it , the fact they compinsated me shows how great a company apple is and it's not like I gave out her home number or anything , she does work for apple no ? Why it would get under your skin that I'm trying to help someone else is beyond me , if you have a problem with people trying to help each other than just move on if it has nothing to do with you

How would you like it if someone posted your work email online for you to get bombarded with viagra emails, and people who want to right a snotty email to anybody and everyone because they aren't happy with something at retail, instead of following the correct procedures, which distributes cases fairly.

And no, it's not policy. There is no fixed number before you get a full replacement. It's Apple's discretion.

There is no *policy* of replacing a device after 3 swaps. They *can* do it, but it's not policy. The only reason this would even be offered is if you were kicking up crap and it was an appeasement to shut you up. And if they sent you an iPod touch - that I don't believe. If that *did* happen, it would only have been to shut you up. No other reason.

Oh, and you really think 3 replacement phones justified getting exec relations involved? Sounds like you were looking for problems (who records the opening of boxes) so that you could badger them for a free upgrade.

And another thing , I do not lie and yes his name was Erik gustafson from corporate who called me after I had emailed Tim cook about the issues and also the great customer service I was getting and the conversation went like this , he said what can we do to appease you and I said I already got upgraded what else can you do for me , then jokingly I said yea give me an ipod for my daughter so she will stop using my phone for games and the next day I got an email from him with shipping info , he orderd a 32 gig iPod touch I had it in 3 days , and as far as they unboxing videos I made , we'll the first replacement didn't go so we'll with the rep I had so Mary the manager who stayed on my case actually advised me to do just that so I had proof she could show her supervisor and I did what she asked , you really shouldn't doubt people and judge without knowing everything and if you wouldn't say it to my face then don't type it , I hate guys like you who grow testicles because your hiding behind a keyboard , I guess when my ar15 broke and colt repaired it or my keltec broke and was replaced I guess I was abusing the firearms manufacturers warranty right , no I wasn't and in both of those situation they sent an xtra magazine with the gun just for my troubles , let me guess though , you don't believe me about that either #

It doesn't change the fact that you've posted somebody's contact details online without their permission - and think that's acceptable.

I would do the same thing for you aswell but I'm sorry , I was told by the manager it was policy and it wasn't a policy they openly broadcasted and I'm sure because there are people that will abuse it but I had proof of my situation and I did what was asked I just wanted a working scratch free phone the upgrade was Mary's idea she brought it up I had no clue after 3 I would get a new device and they didn't have a new 5 only white box so she upgraded me but don't say I was looking for trouble because she offered it I didn't ask and about the ipod , imagine my face when I opened that email the next day , I have it to my 8 year old daughter for her birthday , that's why I got offended when you said you doubt it because that was a great surprise for her and a great memory for me
 
Well I was eventually put in touch with an Executive Customer Relations advisor who has pretty much told me there is nothing they can do since it can't be verified at the bar. They won't even do a white box replacement or replace the battery for me, because it can't be verified. I have no idea where to go from here.

Also, I went to the Genius Bar today. They opened up the iPhone and there was no corrosion or any other problems that would cause the iPhone to overheat.

Replace iPhone 5

How long will it take apple to give a 5s as replacement? Since they stop making 5 since last sep.
 
Unless you get lucky because they're having a shortage of a certain size and color like with the 32GB black 4 (I got upgraded to a 4S) it won't happen. They have plenty of refurbs.

Several years.

Up until last year they still had replacements for the original iPhone. There is plenty (PLENTY) of iPhone 5 stock to cover warranty/Applecare+ replacement.

Like others mentioned, it is highly unlikely you would get other than an iPhone 5. But if they really had to give him something else, I think they'd go for the 5S since it looks more similar to the iPhone 5.

Years- to my understanding they still had replacements for the original iphone until last year. They have more than enough of the iPhone 5 to last another 5 years

Also I've recently learned even though the 5c is equal to the 5 in specs- it is considered a step down and they would never offer to replace a 5 with a 5c and will always offer u a 5s instead...but they have enough of the 5 to go around

Like I said many posts ago , after 3 replacement iphone 5,s through the mail AppleCare the manager said the policy was after 3 refurbs the customer gets a new device and yes she said it was policy , and she had me send my defective 5 back and as soon as she received it she ordered me a brand new white 5S , I know Aton of you will criticize me or say I just tried to rip them off or I just got lucky but the truth Is I told my story to help people and I told the 110% truth , she told me it was policy to get a new device after 3 refurbs and they have NO new 5 to hand out so that's why they upgraded me , I'm not saying anyone will get the same treatment cuz everyone's situation is different and I had the same manager for all my replacements and no I wasn't being anal retentive I had legitimate defects like dead pixels and scratched screen , the one replacement had a deep scratch right through the glass across the FaceTime camera , I did ask for a full refund after the 3rd phone showed up scratched and I said I was going to try out other waters and maybe that's why she did the upgrade ? I don't know
 
Could they give an iPhone 5S? or that's not possible? Well of course depending on the person's mood do you think they might do it? somehow
If they don't have the exact product in stock, they'll give you back your original device, order a replacement and ask you to come back 4-5 days later.
