Awesome, thanks yeah someone mentioned it above. I absolutely would've used it had I known about it in advance. Now I got the original screen back and I have a genius appt monday. Can I just walk in today and get it fixed or do you have to have a Genius Bar appt?

No problem. You can usually walk in without an appointment, but it's best to have one set up. Really depends on how busy your Apple Store's Genius Bar is. Best of luck

Mine is extremely busy - you can wait for 3 hours for a cancelation only to be told that no one canceled and to make an appointment.

It's hard to say. Honestly - stick with the Apple stores. They dont charge labor on mobile devices, and wont charge for parts if they don't resolve the issue. It's tougher for these third party stores, most of which rely on these labor charges. They would fight your CC dispute, saying it took them time to "evaluate" the phone, much like Best Buy charges for "diagnostics".
Do you think I should be ok w just having apple replace my screen or should I tell them about the bend too? I can't tell if the touch screen responsiveness issue I was having was caused by the bend or the 3rd party screen. I want it to work right but I don't want them to just decide it's too much to fix the bend too and just replace the whole phone.

OP, I would have taken to Apple and removed the jailbreak prior to screen replacement. I think you should still be able to now with original screen, but be careful if they detect any proof of tampering or work on your phone.

To remove the JB and retain your current firmware, use CydiaImpactor. It removes all jailbreak files and restores the same firmware on phone.

Read up on it here:

Damn it looks like CydiaImpactor erases all data. Idk why but that scares me. And I can't even find it on Cydia all I can find is Cydia Eraser. Also there is the chance that Apple's calibration could mess up my phone or that they would refuse to mess w fixing the bend and just replace the phone outright. What should I do? I'm debating just taking it to a different 3rd party place that can repair the bend and replace the screen for $120.

It was renamed to Cydia Eraser. Worked great when I tested it with the 9.3.3 jailbreak.

This thread is full of fail. iOS 10 rocks. There's no way a JB iOS 8 can beat the usability and awesomeness that is iOS 10 right now. Plus, you're keep playing russian roulette with a phone that probably cost you nearly $1000.

Bring it to Apple, swap the phone, kiss the Genius' feet on your way out as you now have a properly functioning device that works the way it was intended to work.

This isn't hard.

To you iOS 10 beats a JB 8, but many find that the infinite customization and shortcuts allowed by jailbreaking beat the new features of iOS 10 many of which are achievable with JB.

After what you've been through with the previous 3rd party shop, why on earth would you go to a different one?

Here's the thing. I can customize my car too. I can put crappy third party parts on it, replace the smooth/beautiful Lexus engine with one from a Kia or Hyundai. I can run it with gas purchased from some Ma and pa shop, then go on a Lexus forum and ask if I can replace the acoustic windshield that's specifically designed to make my stereo sound awesome -- with some plastic plexiglass.

But, it's all cool, because that way I can keep my three year old gps maps that let me see the map in green instead of the newer blue.

Then, when my car doesn't start one day, I'll go back to some crappy corner automotive station to fix it -- even though I paid extra for the warranty from Lexus.

Totally makes sense.

It's not cosmetic customization. It's shortcuts and improvements that make the phone significantly more efficient. Trust me I want a new phone, this thing is getting worn out. I just know I'll be unhappy having to take the long route.

Why does someone's choice to jailbreak matter? It's their device, their way of using it, it has nothing to do with anyone else and doesn't affect anyone else.
Sure, and if he didn't post publicly on a forum, his reasons would remain his own. Posting the issues, gives me the right to ask about what things he's talking about...

He's asking for opinions. Hard to form an opinion without all the details. Maybe there's a reason I don't see that would change my opinion...

Like what?
Countless, and hard to explain but I'll give you the names of a few big ones and you can look them up and watch the YouTube tutorials. It demonstrates their usefulness way better than I can in words. Most of them involve swipe/tapping gestures that take functions from a 2-4 step process down to one or eliminate inefficient or useless features that slow down the user experience.

Sleipnizer
CallBar
Almpoum
Facebook +++ (enables use of in-app messenger and the ability to set newsfeed in chronological order rather than most popular)
SafariTabCount (shows you how many tabs you have open)
BetterNC7
Springtomize
Slidecut (awesome)

There are literally thousands more tweaks, shortcuts, customizations fonts colors and layouts that I haven't even explored yet, mainly bc I want to keep my phone lean and mean, a lot of the customizations slow your phone down but w the 7 it prob won't matter. I honestly just use it for a more efficient user experience and even w the limited number of tweaks I use I still couldn't imagine ever going back to a non jailbroken device.

i don't know but apple wont replace the display if its jailbroken. theres a screen calibration device they need to use after the screen is swapped and your phone might get bricked

Yes we've covered this. The only question is will Cydia Impactor-Eraser protect it from bricking?

My tweaks to enhance the usability of my iPhone (no appearance customization tweaks here) are:

Activator (centralized gestures, button, and shortcut management)
AlarmVolume (keep an consistent alarm volume)
AlwaysFirstSwipe (get rid of the NC and CC grabbers)
App Admin (download older versions of App Store apps/hide updates to selected apps)
BioProtect (fingerprint lock selected apps)
EqualizerEverywhere (just what it says)
Fascy (enable fast scrolling in Safari and many other apps)
Filza File Manager
FlipControlCenter (decide which and how many toggles you want in your CC)
MultiIconMover+ (move more than one icon or folder at a time when arranging springboard)
PullToRespring (pull down on Settings page to respring)
Safari Downloader+ (download files and store locally)
StatusVol X (move the volume indicator to the status bar where it doesn't block anything)

Right from your phone. It's a good idea to set your screen timeout to never to avoid errors.
Cool thanks. I'm wondering now if I should just get a replacement phone. What are the chances it will have iOS 9.3.3?

The chances are likely low.
I just spoke to an in store employee and he said most of the iPhone 6 replacements shipped before 10 was released and that most of them have the latest version of iOS 9 on them.
