Ultimately it depends on how you would define 'worth.'

If all you value is functionality, then no, a titanium Apple Watch or Apple Watch Ultra would not be 'worth' it since generally speaking an aluminum AW has the same functionality as the titanium or AWU versions.

If fashion or durability is part of your 'worth' calculation, then yes, a titanium AW might be worth it.

My two cents — I love the premium feel and added durability of the stainless steel Apple Watch. I started off with a Series 0 aluminum AW, which was OK. I never had any issues with it, but I transitioned over the the stainless steel for the Series 2, 4 and 7 and absolutely loved them. Never had a problem with the glass scratching. The case held up extremely well — just the normal small scratches stainless steel tends to pick up.

I just upgraded to the titanium Apple Watch Ultra and really love it. In my opinion, it's an awesome combination of durability and long battery life.

But again, 'worth' is going to depend on what the individual buyer's value proposition is.

I prefer to go with the aluminum watches. Don’t want to spend the extra $300. However would like to see polished finishes for aluminum too and some new color options.

It's worth it just for the screen durability alone. I only had an aluminum watch for the Series 0 when the Watch first launched. Never again. Every single one after has been the higher end model.

That's almost my exact route too except I went Series 3, 5, and 8. It's a drastic difference in terms of durability.

Went aluminium with my first one and did end up scratching both the casing and the glass because it's on my wrist and I end up swinging my arm into stuff eventually.

My series 10 has been titanium with the sapphire and it looks as-new after a year. I really dig the looks of the finish as well. Went with the natural color option.

Exactly this. I got the natural titanium for durability but love the way it looks and would now find it difficult to go back to aluminium.

Absolutely worth it. I always get the stainless steel or titanium, and these things can take a beating. Screens are always pristine, even after a few years.

Meanwhile, the aluminum ones just look cheap and the screens accumulate tons of scratches.

Upgrading every year is not even remotely necessary. I’d say 3 years minimum, and only if you really want a particular new feature.

Titanium all the way for me. The sapphire screens are incredibly scratch-proof, as evidenced by the brick wall I accidentally dragged my watch face across fairly recently with no scratches whatsoever. Plus, I like the look of the titanium with what I'm ordinarily wearing.

But a caveat: This was an easier decision when Apple also sold leather bands, because you could actually create a luxurious, stylish look. That's not the case with the current band offerings (unless you buy certain third party bands that are nicer than what Apple now sells).

I don’t think smartwatches fit with any outfit. They are useful but not beautiful compared to a handed watch.
De gustibus non est disputandum

Granted I'm the most traditional "old-School person" there is when it comes to outfits and aesthetics. Watches however i have come to change my tune. [Especially health wise]

Guess you've never seen my outfits. I'm not talking about the cheap sub $300 AWs [no hate to y'alls ❤️].

I'm talking about us owners who spend $1,200+/per watch. I'm not talking about bands from Etsy either.

Trust me when i tell you. I know how to style the watch, even old school would be impressed.
