Is MR Forums "unbearably" slow for anyone else?

Loading speeds seem to be normal again. Yeah, on to post more posts.

Anyone involved in the upgrade know why?

Okay, back to slow again. And the EDIT button opens the "Go Advanced" dedicated edit page.

It is only slow for anyone who has ever responded to a post with "**************************" or any variation thereof. :p
 
Forum got snappy for a while but it's back to s l o w. Trying to answer all these friend requests in unbearable as thos epages takes minutes to load.

It's your fault the servers have slowed down. Your so popular that all those requests have created a backlog the MR server is struggling to overcome.
 
Last night's update added the slow feature to quiet some of the political flaming for which MacRumors has become famous of late.
 
One of the three forum servers seems to be dying a slow death. You'd have probably found the site fine one minute and slow the next as you swap from a working server to the broken one. I've taken it out of service for the moment so over the next 10 minutes things should start to be more consistent.

How old is said server?

MR needs to invest on couple of Cray XT5s ;)
 
I hope it wasn't the server that they stored Waloshin's threads on. :D

Can't really tell to be honest. We've only had it for a few months but it's a leased server so someone else could have had it (or parts of it) before us

As it's leased the hosting company will replace it. The other two servers we have can cope for now. :)

Just better hope Apple do not schedule a Keynote / Media event in the next couple of days.

Just incase Im going to cross my fingers for a mid range tower.
