I bought a used iPhone 11 Pro and have noticed some brightness flickering. It maybe happens once every twenty minutes and lasts for a second or two. I had a look in the display settings to see if I could tweak something to fix it and noticed that the "True tone" setting was missing. This got me worried that the display isn't genuine, but when looking in Settings (General -> About) for the "Important display message"-text I couldn't find it.

Is it possible that true tone is missing with the original display? Is it possible that the display has been replaced with a non-genuine one without the "Important display message" appearing? Are there any other methods of checking if it's genuine?

I have two weeks to return the phone and if it's not genuine I'll send it back immediately.

If there's no true tone the display hasn't been paired to your phone... When the display is replaced they have to use a programer to enter the old screens serial number onto the new screen. If that wasn't done, true tone won't be available. Where did you purchase the phone from?

Thanks! It's definitely been replaced, I found that the blacks aren't black either so it's a cheap LCD screen. I'll return it.
