So overall the 5c with the less processor and CPU and graphics won't really make a big difference

A faster processor can and will offset more power consumption by completing task faster. It's called "time to idle". Plus other improvements have been done so it's power consumption is negligible.

Is it bad to say throw it on the charger at 75 if I'm home then take it off so like put it on the charger Multiple time a day? Sorry I guess I was so used to just putting it on the charger constantly I didn't think the battery was bad.

Btw those screenshots not only don't look bad they actually look pretty good IMO.

When does 7.1 come out? And will it really improve battery life?

And does jail breaking make it worse? Cause I really wanna jb it agai

7.1 should be out in the next month or so but no one knows for sure. I wouldn't expect any truly noticeable battery improvements one way or another overall. Some might see a bit of an improvement (while I'm sure others will say they have worse battery life as that happens for some with practically any update).

In any case, your numbers are just fine.

7.1 I hope for every week day but it will probably come out by or during the first week of March. And jail breaking is a lot more likely to hurt battery life then make it better.

Thanks for the help guys. Just guess I'm so used to throwing my 5 on the charger 3 4 times a day I thought the battery lasted longer :)

Yeah the 5 lasts about the same time on average too.

I swear, the vast majority of people who complain about their battery life have NO IDEA about what good battery life is or isn't. 85% battery with 1 hr 26 min usage? That's good.

We'll I just played flappy fish for 5 minutes and matching with friends 5 minutes and it went from 68-63. What are some things to make the battery better jw

You can make your battery better by not worrying about it until it's running low, then charging it.

Seriously though, this thread is something else. OP makes thread, complaining about his horrible (actually good) battery life from his 5s. People tell him his battery is good, but he continuously compares it unfavorably to his iPhone 5, saying multiple times that he used to plug in his iPhone 5 all the time, which he doesn't do with his 5s for some undisclosed reason. Fully knowing this, he continues to complain irrationally about the battery life for his 5s, while failing to acknowledge that the iPhone 5 (and any phone) would last longer if topped off all the time.

I have some questions for you, OP. Why are you so worried about your battery life? Why do you go through this entire thread, read all the replies, and STILL complain that your phone went from 68 to 63? Why after so many replies to the contrary do you continue to complain about your battery life? and WHY NOT JUST PLUG IN THE 5S LIKE YOU DID THE 5?

Also, a side note, you said this:

so you wouldnt suggest downgrading to the 5c? Everyone on other forums say it was the best thing that they did.

what forum? everyone? you're telling me there's a sizable community out there that upgraded to the 5s and then sold it for a 5c? The sales numbers sure don't show that.

This thread is weird. OP, turn off your battery percentage, because you have no idea what kind of battery life you should have anyway. You'll be happier.

Apart from turning off the motion control, my 5S is running the same apps as my 5 did. Battery life I would say is slightly better than my. 5 and I certainly don't get the dramatic drops described here.

Off battery, I can stream 4 or 5 full length movies to my ATV in the bedroom and still have around 30% left.

Either the OP has a bad battery, or something is running to cause this.
