In my opinion, absolutely not. This is not to discredit the 11 pro in any way shape or form cause it’s a solid phone obviously, but my girlfriend has it and I have the 11. I have done a lot of comparisons, mainly when it comes to the display technology. I find the iPhone 11 to be brighter even though it isn’t on paper. To be fair she finds her 11 pro to be brighter. Also I played the same nature video on both devices at 1080p 60fps, hers had it with hdr as well. Honest to God, there’s barely any difference TO ME. She didn’t notice much of a difference either. Even with the colors they both were vibrant, yes the amoled was a bit more vibrant but you really have to look for it. Then I tried dark mode on both devices and yeah the oled shines there no questions, however the 11 was decent. But that is where you can definitely notice the difference. Lastly, I checked the viewing angles and the Oled was better as well but nobody looks at their phones at an angle like that. Again that isn’t to take away from the 11 pro cause that’s definitely A plus but no big deal. With all that being said, I really do not see a $300 difference between these 2 phones. I couldn’t care less about a telephoto lens and battery life is amazing on the 11 even though it’s better on the 11 pro. As long as you can make it through a day without any issues I think that’s what matters. What are your thoughts? Do you notice a big difference between both displays and if yes, does that warrant the $300 extra in your opinion? Lets discuss it :)

No, it’s not $300 better. The iPhone 11 is the sweet spot and after that the law of diminishing gains kicks in.

This has been true since last year with the XR and now Apple made it official by making the iPhone 11 the flagship.

I switched from a XR to a Pro Max just because I wouldn’t spend $700 on what is essentially the same phone as the XR, so I got the best one available.

Make sense

Depends on where you're coming from. For me, spending the money from an iPhone 8 Plus to the iPhone 11 is worth it and I stand to gain a lot already. Another $300 to make a bigger jump all the way to the Pro? Nah, I'll save that $300 for when iPhone 13 or iPhone 14 comes out instead.

I don’t think it is 300 better, no.
the cameras are exactly the same, the battery on the XR was the best in an iPhone last year and has once again been improved, iOS 13 runs the same on both phones, the internals are exactly the same.

The only difference is that screen (the OLED on the Pro is gorgeous) and the third camera. But it’s purely a zoom camera so if that is essential to you then you’ll need the Pro.
I personally prefer the colours of the 11, even though I went with an 11 Pro.

The 11 is such good value for money.

The 11 Pro is the flagship, not the 11...

I think 11 vs 11 Pro depends on your personal circumstances. I wanted the smallest possible phone as I have small hands. Therefore, I went with the Pro. I personally think the Pro is better looking too.

For me it was worth it. For me it takes only one situation where I wished I had the optical zoom to make it worth the extra euros.

It’s made of steel? Massive battery? AMOLED 6.5” display? Better waterproofing? More durable? Better camera? 18 watt charger included?

This is all worth it to me, you get what you pay for. And I paid for a steel phone with all day battery life even if I try to run it dead!

go watch a solid black YouTube video. The pro Max will look as if the screen is turned off.

Also high resolution gaming results in better less jagged objects in the distance not requiring Anti-Aliasing.

That is how the world works with marketing items. It could be a computer, a cpu, a video card, or even a car. One is only 10-20-30% faster or or only a little better! But, cost double at times! We pay a premium for that “better” or last percentage in life.

- Size (5.8' i.e. smaller)
- Screen (Oled vs LCD)
- Battery life
- Extra telephoto lens
- Look and feel / Build quality

These are all the reasons that I had in mean for choosing the iPhone 11 Pro

All worthy reasons for the price difference

The camera and the battery are a big difference. The Pro is better, is it worth the extra money? That is a personal decision

How is the camera and battery a big difference? They have the exact same camera except for the telephoto. The battery on the pro is better but the 11 lasts all day. Obviously it’s a personal opinion which is why am asking ppl, is it $300 better in your opinion?

I’m comparing it to the pro, not the pro max. Obviously the pro/pro max have extras that the 11 doesn’t have which is why they cost $300/$400 respectively. Again the question is are they $300/$400 better than the 11? Because you say better waterproofing....the 11 has ip68 which is more than anyone need. Is the waterproofing $300 better on the pro? Come on now. Better camera how? The telephoto lens if it matters to you then cool. As far as the 18Watt charger, I can literally buy one on amazon for $30 that includes the cable as well as the wall plug. Just saying. The biggest difference with the pro max in your case is the battery and oled which are a big deal yes. But again the question is is it worth $400 more than the 11 when you talk pro max.

I think a 30% faster CPU is a big deal to me.

The 11 Pro has 4 meters water proofing vs only 2 meters. But overall the difference for me is build quality and overall durability with steel construction while being able to not deal with uneven backlighting in lcd IPS and having 100% solid blacks is an OCD dream come true.

No offense but, I’m beginning to think you have buyers remorse and are attempting to justify your purchase. Your still in the 14 day return period. Maybe you should consider exchanging the 11 for a 11 Pro or you may regret it.

I do not think it is $300 better, but the size is a complete deal breaker for me personally. I was all about trading my my X and getting the 11. As soon as I held the 11 I knew it was a no go, much thicker, wider, and taller.
