true, but...
you're right to point out that the direct death toll after chernobyl was low... but that's not the only thing to worry about... there were thousands of babies born with the most various disabilities after the incident... this anomaly continues today in ukraine and will continue for the coming about 50-100 years... moreover various cancer rates in have surged in the region... related deaths cannot be directly attributed to chernobyl, but it is clear that there would have been a lot less cancer deaths without chernobyl, even in central europe...
my fear of this development is inversely proportional to the level of transparency and professionalism of the japanese authorities... the more they are hiding the worse it probably is... these days it became public that they wanted to evacuate tokyo but didn't in the end because there were too many people (20m?) and panic was feared...
fukushima may also be way worse than chernobyl as also plutonium has been released (half-life of 30'000 years vs. 30 years of ceasium and way more dangerous) and vast areas contaminated with the material.... while overall contamination in japan may be low, there are many local spikes (e.g. where it rained (fallout) or on hills)...
There are many examples in the past where authorities had to intervene to remove dangerous contamination...
e.g.
japanese cars in chile

or remember the story of the OTIS elevator buttons?

Fukushima death toll so far, zero. Fukushima death toll in 100 years will be zero.
You're more likely to get more radiation from a coal power station than nuclear.
You should go and live 1km underground, those cosmic rays and all.
