Just tried my favorite game on new iPhone X and it's a much smaller display.

But even if they make use of the full screen, aren't we always running into a problem due to the rounder corners?

If its impacted in any way then the game wasn't optimized for the iPhone X was it?

Rounded corners and cropped content if we are talking any video that is 16:9.

Movies are always a proper square / rectangle. Ripitup was referring specifically to a game that was made for the iPhone 6/6s/7/8 and not optimized for an iPhone X. Once the game is optimized it will display using the whole phone. Thats why i suggested trying a game that was actually developed to take advantage of the whole screen to see what it should look like.

I don't understand this obsession with big phones. For me, the X is too big, and wish Apple had made it smaller, at least no bigger than the 8 and preferable a little smaller.
If I want or need a bigger screen for something, then I'll use my iPad, and if I need an even bigger screen, then my Mac Book Pro, and if even bigger than my 27" iMac.
I don't try to do iMac stuff on a phone. I want the phone to fit nicely in my pocket.

Horrible zoom in can't even read the words at the bottom. Fail

That’s going to be a problem any time subtitles are baked into the video. Services like Netflix use its own captioning system for forginlanguage video so this shouldn’t be a problem.

I’m not sure about crunchy roll. And probably won’t work with Kiss Anime.
