I am not complaining for sure. Best Apple Watch I have owned!

Humans comes in all shapes and sizes, men and women not so much,

I’m about 6’ 170lbs

Not sure if you ever go outside, but there's a huge variation on body shapes and sizes. Just take a trip to Walmart.
At 6 feet you're above average height.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice watch but is it really worth $799.00?
Samsung Watch 5 pro is going for $450.00 and i's not bad quality.
Soon apple will report earnings and I heard the Ultra is doing that well as well as their Macbook M2 notebooks
and maybe Apple should consider lowering their product prices...just my take.

If I wanted one? I would buy one. The price wouldn't be a barrier. The dive computer functionality is really attractive.

As things stand now? I'm don't want a digital watch. I'm happy with my Seiko Big Boss that I've had for some 17 years and my Suunto Cobra dive computer that I've had for 20 years. They both work great, I see no reason to replace them.

What poor quality? I love mine.
Quality seems top of the line actually - As far as finish and materials I don't know any brand that has a better offering - even the very top Garmins don't offer this level of finish and materials and display quality and smooth anymations on the display...

Also one of the things Garmins newer OLED watches does - quartz-like-seconds movement with seconds tic-toc and not smooth flow like the Apple is (almost Grand-Seiko esque)

Wow mine hit under 90% in January after a year and some

AW 4 from November 2020, replaced in December 2020 for the red exclamation mark. Used everyday till half 2021, than only during physical activities. Battery health is still 98%.

With Apple Care+, does Apple replace the battery/watch only if it hits below 80% within the first 2 years, or later as well?

I just finished a week using the Ultra as a dive computer. As a smart watch and a dive computer, it’s worth $799 to me. It’s not perfect, but it shines in its underwater usability in areas like readability, brightness, depth and temp accuracy, and gps. All the other awesome stuff Apple Watches do in general above water just add to the value. Titanium and sapphire are amazing.

It would be a lot more interesting to me if it worked with a tank transmitter, like the ones I have from Suunto.

Agreed. That’s why the Ultra will continue being my backup computer to my Suunto. It’s a pretty nice backup. I found myself glancing at the watch more often than my Suunto because of how bright and readable it was. Also, at first the taptic safety stop taps were annoying, but I got used to the taps to know I was still at depth. It meant I spent a little more time looking for sharks and turtles than monitoring the depth and countdown timer. Minor, but nice.

My backup for my Suunto Cobra is my Suunto Vytec, with a secondary transmitter. My backup to that is a Suunto Air.

I figure if I am diving and all 3 of my computers go down, it's just my time to go (;

It depends what you want out of a smartwatch since $799 isn't a budget-friendly price point. Your mileage will vary.

But for me, I'd say yes, it's worth it. The longer battery life, larger screen, and a few exclusive features justify the cost. There's no other alternative that comes that close.

IMHO, It's very budget friendly.

The Rolex I want is $26,000,

Am kind of surprised apple didn't release the Ultra watch for something like £949 to £999

As there 45mm series 8 Stainless Steel with a Milanese Loop costs almost the same price as the Ultra watch
And the Milanese Loop costs the exact same £99 price as any of the ultra straps or loops

That’s why I have just bought an ultra
