If you have to consider it this much, there are probably more important things you need to spend the money on. Why are you leaving the money in your paypal account, it is not generating any interest.

I sold the Acer Iconia, Blackberry 9700 and an Ipod touch if you were really curious. I don't know where people thought I was some truck stop road whore living off credit cards.

If you're headed to Hell, you've probably already done plenty to get you there...I doubt that this will be the tipping point as to whether you're going there or not. :D

When someone believes in heaven or hell, they don't mysteriously go POP-they-exist, same thing with god. You can pretend those things exist if you want so you can live life on terms made up by someone instead of using your head to decide what is right and wrong, either way if believing in 'god' and 'heaven' is the reason you and hundreds of millions others are not stealing and murdering then the religious 'system' works.

humans have evolved to be intelligent beings so because you over your life have weighed up the facts and come to a decision it is 'your choice' and I respect that.
it's the poor people who are told/manipulated what to believe while never being allowed to make their own minds up that are deprived of free thinking, and I feel sorry for.

You are wrong in thinking I pretend God exists. I actually carefully studied scientific, archaeological, and manuscriptual evidence for God, and finding that it points to it be many, many, MANY times more probably that He does exist than that He doesn't, I put my faith in Him.

Most people that say things like "hell is pretend" have spent ZERO time looking at the evidence and because they want to live life a certain way (ie "their own") they say He doesn't exist.

And please don't try to insinuate that only humans that have come to the decision God doesn't exist have "evolved into greater intelligence." Google "reasonable faith" and read up on Dr. William Lane Craig. Look at the Q&A section or read some of his debates in Ivy League schools. He is in the top 1% of intelligence of the entire human population easily and he has also come to the conclusion, based on the evidence, that it is much, much, MUCH more likely that God exists than that He doesn't.

We all have faith. Some of us place it in God, others of us place it in ourselves (like the atheist that puts faith in his understanding that there is no God and that when he dies there will be nothing else)

Today is the last day I can probably get a refurbished Ipad 2 (419.00) and take advantage of their 6 month finance offer. (399+ purchases) When the prices drop Apple has a price protection within 10 days of shipment. I work nights and will sleep through the excitement of the launch and the possibility of the refurbs being possibily bought up. Is it wrong of me to order and then knowing call back for a credit? Will I got to hell?

Yes, you will definitely burn in hell.

Mentioning another person like William Lane Craig to prove intelligent people believe in God may be a bad idea. Keep in mind that people can make arguments against his character and ways of thinking, therefore degrading his credibility. Also, intelligent people make mistakes too. He's also just 1 person, so he's not a strong enough example.

But, mentioning his lectures is a good method to prove your point about evidence for God. Which is probably a way more important idea. I should probably examine that guy more... I know there's a lot of hate for him, but he might have some good things to say.

So which religion is real? I wanna make sure I follow the right one!

Apple needs to give us a file system where I can download files from the office. MS needs to introduce a FULL Office Suite! These two things would make me look no further but Windows 8 tablets will bring way more than Apple will offer, even on the iPad 6!:p

You know while I really do believe MS will release an Office Suite for iPad, I'm on the fence if it's a wise business move. There are folks out there that would buy a Windows tablet just to get Office.

I'm having fun these days just counting website hits coming from IOS6 devices, all coming from an Apple swipped 17.x IP block.

Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened, ask and it will be given to you. (Matt. 7:7)

Of course the above assumes one criteria that most do not meet: genuineness (or another way to say it "genuine desire to know what truth is").

See you can be a "Pilate" and when life is getting difficult and you are confronted with something that challenges your lifestyle (in his case it was Jesus), you call out "WHAT IS TRUTH?", not because you want to know but because your fear causes you to deflect the spotlight on your conscious and you hope getting entangled in verbal arguments will lead us away from that which you falsely seek: Truth.

Or you can be a "Jacob" and when something or Someone comes to challenge you, you spit on your hands, throw off your baggy shirt, hunch down and get ready for the greatest wrestling match of your life. And here's the thing: you don't let go until you understand.

That's how you find the right religion :)

My mentioning of WLC was not so that one goes to him and sees how great he is and makes a big fuss about him. I point people to him that parrot the false worldly accusation that "stupid people = religous people and smart people = thrown off bonds of religion and believe in only what they see/touch/feel/hear".

The point is that belief in God is tenable under the greatest of scrutiny by the most intelligent of people. It's fools that write off the idea of a spiritual realm without investigating the world around them that gives evidence of such (Rom. 1:20).

So yeah, pay attention to the lectures and the debates. See who wins from an INTELLECTUAL and LOGICAL standpoint when it's WLC (Christian) vs. Ivy League Atheist Professor 001.

All I'm trying to communicate is that people need to spend more time investigating the evidence for God and for eternal existence before they dismiss it and call it "pretend."

Looking forward to the iPad announcement! :D

So, like, Catholicism, or what? I don't really like to suffer, though. Can I get away with being a Lutheran?

HAHA. There's more chance of the tooth fairy being real than any heaven or hell lol

No it's not morally wrong. Your just playing the game with the hand you've been dealt. I hope it works out for you.

Like the poster on the next page said, there are many intelligent people in the world who believe in God. The stereotype that only stupid people believe in God is false, everyone should seriously research into the topic of God before dismissing it.

And on the topic of hell, Christians believe that you don't go to hell or heaven based on your works, but simply that everyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour will spend the rest of eternity with him in heaven.
