Both Phones
iPhone 6 128GB PLUS Dead Pixel/Dust under screen

iPhone 6 128GB Dead Pixel
(Everything else is perfect)

Phoned up Apple Online waited over 40 Minutes
replacements to be sent out on the 10th-15th October.
I really hope both these replacement are perfect hoping no more exchanging game again.

I ended up doing an online chat with applecare instead of a phone call and they are sending me a replacement. I did have to provide an authorization credit card to insure I send back the defect iPhone though. Hopefully it'll arrive quick!

Where did you go on the website to start an online chat? I'm looking all over the apple site.

I think it was just the support section and then you click "get started" at some point it asks if you want to chat or use phone.

I agree with you about loving Apple products except for the fact that quality control has gone down somewhat.

Dust under the screen should not even be an issue with these nowadays because Apple has since gone with 'fused' displays. The dust issue some are reporting is baffling to me because I've seen how an iPhone fused display is made. But then again, they can never be too careful right?... especially when they have to rush thousands upon thousands of initial units.

I don't feel bad not getting a chance to purchase my 6 Plus this morning after lining up for 3 hours. Maybe the subsequent batches are a lot better...I can wait another week or two.

We just need to voice these issues out as early as possible to get them sorted out immediately.

Can you take pic of the dust?

I tried to take a picture but it didn't really come out - I thought it was initially a cluster of dead pixels but you can see it when the screen is off and a light shinning on it. I agree that I thought the glass was fused too - only thing I can think is then that it's a flaw in the glass - a bubble or something - perfectly smooth in the surface though. It is noticeable in any white screens so annoying.

Camera :(

My poor 6 plus camera doesn't focus at all. It's extremely blurry and if I try to take video it gets warped almost like it's underwater. I'll have to contact apple chat, hopefully I can get a new one eventually.

Just spent an hour on chat trying to get the issue addressed. Had me restore the phone bc they thought it was a software issue. Now I have to wait for a call tomorrow to speak to a supervisor.

These kinds of threads terrify me. Thankfully, I won the Apple lottery! :D

Received a Space Grey iPhone 6 (64 GB) in perfect condition. Really babying my phone until I can get one of the leather cases from Apple. Unfortunately, no one had them today.

Anyone have any ideas for where to get the leather cases, other than the Apple store?

Space Gray iPhone 6 16 GB, the upper right hand corner of the screen seems a bit dark/yellow. It was the first thing I noticed when it came out of the box in the store :/. I'll probably make a Genius appointment some time next week and see if they'll swap it out for a white box model.

An update.

It drove me nuts seeing the spot in the middle of my screen. I drove to the Apple store and they exchanged it for a new phone. All is well now :)

I just got back from the Apple Store to replace my 6. My first one (ordered from Apple.com) came with some backlighting/dead pixel issues on the top right corner.

Awesome customer support, despite it being launch day they replaced my phone with no questions and got me up and running again!

Some of these bright spots on the displays are absolutely awful. I mean, I understand that it is impossible to ensure that every single device Apple makes is perfect by the most stringent standards (and still be cheap enough to sell), but it doesn't make the situation any better if you end up with a flawed device. I'll be crossing my fingers when I buy my 6 Plus.

Dead pixel on mine. Will get it replaced at the apple store though.

Do I have to make an appointment or ?
