I am really surprised how many people do not use a case!

Anyone find any cool cases that protect but still show off the phone??

I recently came upon this...www.e13ctron.com

While it does help with the antenna issue that is not the only reason I use it. The naked iPhone feels kinda slippery to me, so I use the bumper to help with grip.

+1

I never had any issues with the antenna, but after a day of use I picked up the Apple bumper. It felt slippery in my hands, and I just felt like I was going to drop it.

I now have an aluminum bumper...so the front and back are naked. I've dropped it a few times and it's held up perfectly (knock on wood). Like others on here, I believe it's just too sweet looking to cover up.

I used to use the Apple bumper, but now I only use a Gelaskin cover. I have the TomTom car mount and I was tired of taking off and on the bumper over and over.

Both depending on where I'm going, and what I'm doing.

There's a fair amount of news breaking today and yet it's not here on Mac rumors. They are normally on top of Apple news but not today. Wonder if they're short handed.

Apple bumper and Invisible Shield. Makes a minimal impact and takes care of scratching and antenna issues. Best of all possible worlds.

With the 4 one drop and its shattered....I have the bumper case as well, only issue with that is I cannot get my fat fingers into the ring/silent switch! I also dont like that it covers the power and volume buttons as I love the feel..

You're exaggerating a bit. One drop and it's shattered? Funny I've dropped mine a few times and it's unmarred. Any phone will break if it lands just right, and the iPhone 4 is no different. I've heard of just as many phones breaking with cases as without them. It's just the luck of the draw.

Simple solution? Don't drop your iPhone or whatever other phone you might have, because it might break!

Mine's in an Otterbox. After reading this thread, kinda makes me think of women required to wear burkas. :(

Well I have never dropped it, but as far as exaggerating...I imagine anything made of glass will break when dropped?

Naked.

Tried a case for a while (the one I got in the case program), but didn't like it and went back to going al fresco.

Never used any cases on my old iPhone 3, neither.

It's good to imagine, but that doesn't make it true.;)

I've dropped items made of glass (a mirror, a glass) in the past, and they didn't break.

I don't have magical powers.

you might!

Bareback is the only way to fly.

Oh, I thought we were talking about something else.

No, I have a case. I'm more about comfort than looking at how pretty my phone looks all day and iPhone 4 is too slippery and sharp around my hand. So I go for the practical and not for the ego trip. Plus, when I do admire the look of the phone, I get OCD with fingerprints on the back. But I don't mind the folks who go naked with it since when I go to my nearest mall, I see plenty of folks with iPhones covering it with such hideous looking cases. Like people who leaves the plastic around their couch.

Maybe for my next phone, I will likely keep it buck naked with the exception of using a holster since I've lost two phones by slipping out of my pocket. I am pretty careful not dropping my phone, but I do get careless when I sit.

On my 3GS I have Clear Coat protectors full body to prevent scratching. I plan to use the same on my new iPhone 5 when it comes out. So it'll look naked since the film is clear but scratch free protected

Simple solution: get a reasonable case.
I dropped mine from about 15 inches. It hit the edge, and cracked, then fell on its face, and shattered. Not much force. Just hit wrong.

My iPhone 4 was naked up until a few weeks ago. Currently, I have the InCase slider on it. Although I just purchased the snap case off eBay since I want something a little thinner.

Im surprised all those who go naked...one drop and bye bye..

Im surprised you get off your bed and go down stairs... one fall and bye bye..

;) the point is it depends. for those who appreciate their iphone only because of its insides (the screen, the os, how fast it is etc) - then of course why not put it in the case in order to safeguard it from the accident.

but for those who appreciate their iphone also because of its visual design, it would be stupid to put it in the case. that would be like sitting home for the rest of your life and never go out, because of the possibility that you might get run over and then bye bye

p.s. never a case, never had the antenna issue (but i guess its because i live in uk here the reception is very good so not an issue at all)

the phone is still like new, despite for almost 6 month since i bought it, it never seen the case. if it falls, it falls - that's not going to be the end of my life, i work and eventually i will be able to afford a new one. the design of the iphone was part of the reason why i bought it, so of course the case is out of the question.
