I've just got it showing apps using significant energy, but I'd assume Bluetooth devices I've connected will also show their battery status there.
I'd love to just combine it with the Sensors menu to be honest, but not all sections can be combined.

My point is, it's supposed to show a lightning icon in lieu of the battery/charging status, but it doesn't seem to do so.
You should be able to create a miscellaneous drop-down menu with those specific things listed. I have dropped down menus for sensors and a number of other things, but I have an icon for my online availability. That also shows a number of other things like some sensor information and memory information and up time.

Thanks for the pointers, I tried again to see if I'm just missing something, but the Sensors+Power menu recreated in the Combined menu is pretty different. I don't see a way to create subsections with their headings, and the "Using Significant Energy" section is entirely absent from the list of potential sections.

I don't know if this is a restriction with the trial version (I auto-updated from v6.30 since the M4 mini is too new), but honestly it's working ok-enough for me to just keep it as-is and wait for updates to v7.

Here is what I see as Menu Bar Icon choices:

Personally, I'm totally cool with the offerings.

The Mac App Store Version is still on 7.02....
Anyone knows why?

The "why" can only be answered by the authors, really, so you could write to them and ask.

But often, App Store updates take longer because of Apple's review times. Also some developers may decide to prioritize other channels. It's anyone's guess.

The question might be "why does the App Store version exist?". I say that because, to make it fully functional, the user needs to download and install a "helper" application. Surely it is easier to just use the direct download which includes the helper component. https://bjango.com/help/istatmenus7/helper/
Some folks might be using a Mac in a "managed" environment, only allowing them to install App Store apps and nothing else. In that case, that version is better than nothing at all.
