iStatPro makes my MBP crash in Leopard (also Snow Leopard)...

...So, I have to uninstall it from my dashboard and haven't had more crashes since then.
Very weird!

I've always loved this app and thanks Bjango for the excellent SL update. And the fact that its technically free is short of miraculous. So thanks again!

Work on the next major iStat Menus update is going exceptionally well.

Several feature suggestions from the recent poll (The future of iStat Menus) have already been added. Feel free to have your say and let us know what you'd like added.

Should have more info soon.

Bugs that have already been fixed:
- Network traffic on newer Macs
- Date & Time dropdown sometimes not showing correct info on the first line

Are part of the team that's working on it? One major annoyance is the refresh frequency of the monitor sensors. If you set it to refresh every one second, SystemUIServer is constantly around the 30-40+ percent range. If you set it to 15 seconds, SystemUIServer stays low at 3 percent. With Leopard this was never a problem. Even when set to update every 1 second, SystemUIServer will stay at 3 percent. You know if this is being addressed?

Hello,
are iStat Menus not anymore free ?

Yes that does seem to be the case now. As of version 3 it is now $10 for iStat Menus. I'm still on version 2 here and all works great. Not sure if I like the idea of charging for this app, but I have no doubt that it is well worth the $10 regardless.

The upgrade is worth the price to me just for the new battery menu item.

Not to mention being able to control the fan speed now.

version 3 looks nice, but at the moment i'm using an app called menumeters which displays upload/download speeds (only function i needed) and doesn't cost anything.

I got tricked...

So I wasn't paying attention and upgraded to version 3 blindly... then noticed that I had to pay. Does anyone have the iStat 2 (Snow Leopard compatible) binaries? The link above, as well as the link on apple.com, are down now. I'm having trouble locating them and I don't have them on my machine any more :/

EDIT: found it!
