>syncing with a phone doesnt add that much value in my book...

Yeah, though looking at your pocket PC to find someone's number (because that was isynced) then manually typing in the numbers every time kinda bites.

>which is why I have the phone sleeve for the ipaq

my responce: ?

anyways, iCal is very cool, and the fact I can publish online is nice, I'm just looking forward to being able to sync the iPod w/iCal once it's plugged in, and I don't have to do anything

maybe I should just learn apple scripting

I downloaded and tried iCal tonight. I imported 5 years of appts from a vcal file. Worked flawlessly. But get this. ical is the slowest program I have ever used on a mac. On a calendar I flip thru the weeks. This thing takes 2-3 seconds to switch views. I've been using the palm desktop and it is alot better looking and there is no delay. Why would a cocoa app be slower than a carbon 3rd party I don't know.

It has taken up to 30bounces on a 400mhz to launch!

beta? i thought we would get the product by the end of the month. I guess it's up to them to revise their plans.

Apple will release a beta to the public by the end of September. Steve said this at the keynote.
