That is crazy but I imagine if you work for a tech site, it is all part of the hype. The longest I've waited in line for an apple product was 90 minutes and it was inside a Best Buy. It was an interesting experience but I wouldn't do it again.

That's how I felt with Verizon and the 4s last year. Standing there making friends, seeing how many people asked "what size" you were going to get to size you up and make sure you werent getting the same lol. I was number 12 in line last year so I got my 64gb, but apparently I got the last one lol.

So it's funny seeing people go and get the 16gb iphone 5 4g LTE.

Don't they have jobs or responsibilities? I wish I had the time to just sit there for a week.

Most of the people in line do this as their job. A lot of Gazelle representatives there and a lot of people wearing the same shirt.

That's it. The "fanboyism" has now officially gotten out of hand.

I'm really tempted to get a Samsung Galaxy S III instead just to avoid this....

These people aren't Apple fanboys anymore than you and me. People who line up this early are trying to make a profit. And who are you to police people? If you don't like the iPhone, you don't like the iPhone. Go enjoy your SIII

How can they afford an iPhone 5 with all those other Apple toys when they don't have a job??

For many, this is their job.
