I prefer saying iPod touch (no, I didn't realize it was a lowercase "t") in situations where there is ambiguity (or Touch if I really don't feel like saying two words) and just iPod in situations where there is no ambiguity or relevance (I was listening to music on my iPod).

I find iTouch irritating for some reason also. That and iTooth, although thankfully that one seems to have died out.

If you keep iTouching it you'll get an iRash.

rotfl! Not unless you use ilube!
I think this thread is somewhat worthless, becouse it has already been named. The iPod touch. End of story

Can't stand people who call it an iTouch.

Definately. But whats worse is that when I got my iPod touch when it first came out, everyone thought it was an iPhone. I can't tell you how many people asked me if I had an iPhone. Im like people...are you dumb!! come on. There are some pretty obvious differences. (black rim around, no cut out for the speaker) God. lol But know that I have my iPhone, they understand. haha

I would rather it be an iPhone than that other alternative

EDIT: I think this should get stickied, so this can ne seen in the future, when whatever happens

In life I call it Touch.

In internet I call it iTouch or iPT. "touch" is so wide-spread word (unlike nano or shuffle) to just call it "touch" on the internet because it could be confusing to some.

well I like it when people call it an iPhone (much better than iTouch in my opinion)

I always correct them and tell them it's an iPod. They then think it's a knock off (not realizing Apple makes both) and they ask me who makes it....

Does it really matter! You know what people mean when they say iTouch so why be such a pedant about it. I wonder how many people who hate it being referred to as an iTouch type MS or M$ or Micro$oft when they mean Microsoft. Get over it already!

You need more options in your poll.

-Don't care.
-iNTouch (Internet Touch)
-Touch
-ouch

-douch (ipoDtOUCH)
-*&%$#^&*!!!!!

Yes. It does matter. saying it is like fingernails on a chalkboard, it hurts to hear it, or read it, and on top of it, this thread has made me write it more than i like or like to read. (but that is just me)

I agree with you 100%. It's just NOT what it's called. Apple called it an iPod touch for a reason... it's an iPod with the secondary name "touch"... not an iTouch. If Apple adopts this term, I will kill myself.

an itouch is a logitech keyboard, and sompthing to do with broadcasting Corp.

Read my sig too!

In response to your signature, I actually saw someone use "iClassic" over at iLounge. It annoyed the he'll out of me.

You can say that there are bigger things to worry about than what someone calls an MP3 player, but it really, really gets to me. Of course there are more important things, there always are. I'm just saying that calling an iPod something it's not supposed to be, especially when it sounds completely retarded, really gets to me. And I'm clearly not alone.

Let's have a look at my give a f* meter:

My friend called it an iTouch once, I am afraid to say he's now dead.

How do I get the "Wirelessly Posted" message on the posts I make with my iPod?
