FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! PLEASE don't call it an iTouch! Every time you call the iPod Touch an iTouch, god rapes a kitten!!! Think about that next time you want to call this device iTouch!

Seriously though...please...it's an iPod Touch. I get bad images when you say "iTouch".

iTouch...
..
.
myself -_-....

thats what the people really are talking about when they call it an iTouch.

I was at a special event for a science fair and they were raffling off two iPod touches. When the host introduced the raffle, he called the iPod touch "iTouch - it's the iPod minus the phone" ROFL

You know Howard Dean, when he got 3rd in Iowa and made that speech of his? That is how serious I get at school regarding this issue when someone calls it an iTouch. Well not really, but I feel that serious.

ah, who cares, serious schmerious, it's iTouch! :D

I agree with PMB's description on that, it's EXACTLY like nails on a chalkboard. All my friends are like "thats cool Austin, you got the iTouch???!!!!" and I always mumble under my breath, "It's actually an iPod touch". To me it sounds like purebred ignorance, I have no idea why, but it just makes me want to hit people.

Oh, oh! To the people who call it an iTouch, just read my explanation of why it's not called that, I swear it's not as violent as the above paragraph. :)

Ahem *cough, cough* Here we go:

The iPhone is called an iPhone because it's a completely new platform, if they ever came out with an iPhone Pro, it wouldn't be called the iPro, people would designate it as the platform name (iPhone) then the second name (Pro). Same thing with the Mac Pro and Mac mini, MacBook Air, and MacBook/MacBook Pro. The iPod touch is a member of the iPod platform, therefor it's the platform name (iPod) then the second name (touch). iPod touch!

..... and quid pro quo ........ ahhh ha!

using my logic it would end up being iTOUCH!

iPhone + Pro = iPro

then it stands to reason that

iPod + Touch = iTouch

your logic is flawed.

It WOULD NOT be the ipro because it is just a new revision of the iPhone line therefore it would be iphone pro not ipro and likewise for the ipod touch

gotta think out of the box... iTouch:cool:

that is not out of the box. By anymeans it is actually dead center of the box

So when your done touching yourself join the rest of the senseble world and call it its real name
iPod touch

I touch will land you on the sex offenders list.Stick to ipod touch.Speaking of ipod touch i just bought a refurb. It's on the fedex truck as i type.i cant wait to touch it.Uh,yah.

I simply refer to it as my iPod as many others do when I'm speaking the name most of the time, but occasionally I'll say the whole name "iPod Touch" (or iPod touch as it may be after all?). When writing, I usually go with iPod Touch, but when talking, I don't really feel a need to say iPod Touch all the time, don't want to look like I'm showing off. lol :D

It was officially dubbed by Apple "iPod touch" including the bold :p, and with a lowercase t!
