I call it the Touch

I have to remind people who call it ''iTouch'' it's the iPod Touch, lol.

I mean, it's not a big deal, but it is kinda annoying when people call it iTouch. :apple:

Meh. I call it touchPod.

For the rest of iPod products - I call it fatNano (iPod Nano), classicPod (iPod Classic), touchPod (iPod Touch). Easier to say. :)

Someone at Apple needs to get fired!

This is an outrage!

It's obviously iPod Touch. iTouch is a decade or so old software suite for an EPOS touchscreen computer. Why on earth are people here talking about that?! Can't put one of them in your pocket...

It's iPod Touch. But I just call it iPod in person, or the full iPod Touch if talking to friends or family.

I think the most annoying thing here is that people get worked up when someone calls it 'iTouch'.
iPod Touch or iTouch, you know what they're talking about, it's just a convenient abbreviation - if it's accepted to say 'Mac' instead of 'Macintosh'...

I agree. I just can't understand the anger of some people when they hear or read iTouch

Meh. I don't know why you guys are getting so worked up over the fact that I bought an iTouch. It's just a nickname. ;)

No, not a nickname, an insult to yourself.

I could go on and on about why it isnt that, and should be called by it's real name, when i have enough time i will type it up on my iPod Touch.

I cringe at the word iTouch

Nobody calls the other iPods iClassic or iNano do they?

iTouch is a word some n00b came up with somewhere and all the other n00bs joined in and thought it would be cool to call it that too.

It makes me almost as sick as Imac, I-Mac, I-MAC, Ipod and iPoT.

Just for the record iPoT is lame too.

And also:
'I just installed some software on my MAC...'
What's that all about? It's not an acronym

I think you're on your own with this one, I've never heard it called that before :)

GGGGGGGGAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! NO! not acceptable! :eek::eek:

(i wrote a letter saying it needs to be changed:cool:)

You've taken this hating of the name to a whole new level; not saying that I don't support you that is ;)

Just yesterday I twice corrected my girlfriend for calling it the iTouch; but now that I see it called the iTouch even on the Apple UK site I don't blame her anymore...

I get really annoyed when my girlfriend or my great aunt calls it an iTouch. I always have to calls things their correct name for some reason. :)

Well, actually you're wrong too, bub. It's not an iPod Touch, it's an iPod touch ... You complaining about me typing it as iTouch is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. ;)

iPod touch

That is the official exact name. On the Apple website usually when you see iPod it's in bold and the name afterwards (touch, classic, nano) is in regular font.

Edit: Oh and that picture labeling it an iTouch needs to be changed, on my way to write a letter

I confess I call(ed) it the iTouch for the sake of quickness, but I can admit to what a gross mislabeling it is.

However, I think IPT is pretty acceptable.

The nurse at my ortho surgeon's office called mine a Palm yesterday when she saw I was using it principally as an electronic scheduler system. Sometimes I'll even call it a calendar or a PDA.

Logitech iTouch keyboard

Guys, I have no idea whether this has any relevance what so ever, but i believe that Apple cannot officially call the iPod touch an iTouch because that seems to be the name of my Logitech PC wireless keyboard...

See the attached screenshot of some of the settings

Since this keyboard is what... 4, going on 5 years old now, surely the name must be trademarked or something... restricting Apple of that name?

Edit: This is another iTouch logitech keyboard - not my one exactly, but similar. Just shows you i'm not talking complete jibberish.
