If you know what G-sync is, you’re not the target for playing games on the Mac. I don’t believe the Mac will ever be targeted at the serious PC gaming market. It’s targeted at people who play consoles and would like to play a few games on their Mac.

I love the serious gamers who try to make it work as a challenge. It’s the equivalent of driving screws with a hammer. Sure you can do it but you have to ask yourself, why are you doing it? If you’re doing it because there’s a select few games you like on the Mac then it makes sense. If you’re doing it just to be different then it really doesn’t make sense.
Hey I get it. It’s why I spent my entire Mac budget building a gaming PC and buying a Samsung Odyssey monitor for it. But lots of people have consoles and will notice the difference too with this theoretical Apple TV.

I'd love to see a slight convergence in user experience. First, I'd love to see Apple make a studio display with fast and easy input switching AND picture-in-picture. I'd gladly buy a mac mini if I could easily use it as a casual gaming and Apple TV.

I would love an Apple made TV. But my gut tells me this rumor is never gonna come to be. I just don’t see Apple entering the crowded TV market. Just like how they dropped the Apple Car, it makes more sense for Apple to just make the software to go with these two segments like Car Play & Apple TV+. I dunno. I just don’t see an actual Apple TV happening. But hey, would love to be pleasantly surprised.

Wake me when someone decides to make a 'dumb' TV again. Something with a gorgeous display that does absolutely nothing except display whatever content I feed into it via a variety of ports.

Is that too much to ask???

There are companies that still make "dumb" or "non-smart" televisions. A couple of examples include budget brands Sceptre and Supersonic. I'm not sure about the quality, though.

Smart televisions can be setup as "non-smart" too.

Sounds awful, would probably cost more than the Vision Pro which has all but replaced my tv anyways
I wish I could replace my TV with my Vision Pro but the tech isn’t there yet. So my AVP sits there collecting dust while I wait for its collectors value to skyrocket

A set of Apple TVision Pro, a pair for each family member. A headset just to watch media content. At an "affordable" price.

None of the TV manufacturers are factory calibrated in the way Apple does their displays. I'd be here for it, it's sad OLED TVs aren't used to their fullest potential without professional calibration.
Panasonics are

It would have to be the right price. A 42" Studio Display wouldn't exactly be cheap.

I would buy one if it doubles as a huge 55 inch to 65 inch Apple monitor with 5k and 120 to 240 hz refresh rate for gaming.
