this wasn't as smooth as on the 3rd.
the ship date was also very unexpected. :(
 
I think the 18th is the price we pay for not wanting to wait in line at a store. I'll deal. I waited 4 years with Verizon. I can wait another 2 weeks.

I'll hope it gets here sooner.

As the first person said, I think so but not sure. If so I will be porting in a number later. Don't want to do it now and delay the phone any. Would rather get a new number than wait for a number transfer.
 
Mine says shipping date is 02/18/2011...
I can't believe my order is pushed back that far and I ordered it before 3am

i hope they don't charge my card and make me wait 9 days. i wasn't expecting the 18th at all.
 
I just said screw it and ordered via Verizon's website. I figure I'll go by and see if I can buy one in the store and port it that way if the true ship date is in fact that far away. I dunno...this was so unexpected.

They do not charge until shipped. If you do get charged soon take it as a good sign.

Although maybe Im wrong, was that only preorder policy?

I am guessing, maybe over 2 million people signed on and are ordering. I won't be suprised that the pre-order amount will sellout by 8am. I would reserve yours and pick it up at the store on the 10th.
 
Weird. just received confirmation emails for both orders (different accounts) the first one i placed went in smoothly at 2:47 am. will be shipped out the 10th.

seems like the servers went down for a few minutes because i had issues with the second order and that one is not being shipped out til the 18th. the order was completed by 3:04 am.

+1. Thats exactly what I was thinking. I have my current number on boost mobile. So im not in a rush. Just hurry up and ship my phone!!!:eek:

2 million people? To say I doubt that is an understatement.
 
damn... sorry you guys are having such a hard time. (I think this is a pretty good indicator of how badly people wanted this) Too bad you weren't verizon's current customers, I woke up at 6 on the 3rd and still got my iPhone on monday.... I hope everything works out for all of you and this all clears up soon.

maybe preorder amount sold out in 3 minutes and new orders will ship in 1 week.

Mine was confirmed by 2:50am and said shipping the 18th.
 
2nd Iphone ordered, this line had 100.00 off the phone, new every 2 deal. Guess that will be the last NE2 LOL :D

It will be about 2degrees at 7am in a town of 11,000 people for me. I may literally be the only one there. :p
 
I held out about 20 min from when I originally clicked on it...my order number is 124---. They sold over 124k in a few minutes it looks like.
 
on apple site, it said that it will ship by 18th. It can ship on the 10th. From my experience on apple site, it usually ships sooner.
