Really? Look at the application iSync. What is that? A brushed metal icon. Same as that knob, minus the recycle style arrows.
I thought it was supposed to resemble the iPod's Hold button?...

Maybe Apple is bringing back the Platinum theme. One can hope, can't they? Also theres no way in hell Apple is not including color for the icons. This app just wasn't ready to be shipped out yet.
So far iTunes 10 has proven to be one of my worst Apple experiences ever. It blew away all of my iTunes 9 preferences (view options, sorting, etc) and it was an onerous process to get everything looking and behaving the way it used to. In particular, I can't fathom why they decided to hide album artwork if you have less than 5 songs, which necessitated me turning on the view option "Always show artwork" for every single one of my playlists. And don't even get me started on Ping... what a turd.
Whats the difference between "change iTunes buttons" and install?
Yeah...It's crazy that you had to spend 5 seconds getting it back to the way you like it to display....not sure how you will be able to go on living with all of the unacceptable changes....![]()
**COLORS**
He everyone, with the help of our fellow MacRumors friend, OutThere,
I've made a quick little utility that makes it so you can switch iTunes 10 from the new style to one that is more colorful (like the old one) and you can switch it back if you like. The utility also allows you to switch scrollbars in the finder from aqua to itunes style, and a couple other changes.
keep in mind I make no claims of being a professional programmer, so this is rough at best but it does work.
All the best to everyone.

Its a bad user experience, period. For no obvious gain. And it took about 10 minutes to find and restore everything.
Thanks, this is the icon I'm using for iTunes:@Krafty
Sig is awesome! I like your Flickr stuff, too.

Thanks so much for this. Between this download and the trick to get the horizontal buttons back, my iTunes experience is good again.COLORS!
I hate the lack of colors in iTunes 10, so I did a little ThemePark rsrc hacking and put the colored icons from 9.2 back into 10. It's not perfect, but I didn't want to waste too much time on it, and it looks alright on my computer for the icons that I use regularly.
Download (zip, 11.1mb)
Instructions included.
Enjoy, and feel free to let me know if you see an icon that should be fixedI didn't check that they all look normal.
- Small size only.
- Some may be broken.
- No guarantees.

It now uses the search in the top right corner, stinks I know, but better than nothing.
Thanks!Give this a try: but this uses OutTere's .rsrc file modifications (with OutThere's permission) and will allow you to put them in place or to switch back to iTunes new default if you want.

I truly hate iTunes, it's the most bloated and sluggish piece of software I have ever used![]()
You have never used Maya or Wordperfect then.
six cd's in my changer beats having a cord to plug into my phone
