Sorry if this was already posted...

After 6+ pages, I didn't go through all of them looking for this answer...so excuse me if this was already answered...

So I updated to 7.7.1, and I STILL got the iTunesOutlookSync.exe error that's not allowing me to sync contacts and calendar items from Outlook to my new 3G. This is so damn frustrating. I used to be able to sync all the time with my original iPhone.

Could someone please help me out here...and no I don't really care/want to delete all my recurring appts. in Outlook and readd them. Mainly because I'm trying to move my work calendar (thus the PC) to my iPhone and I have recurring items all over the place.

Thanks in advance...

I think an app was my culprit

I was having sync/backup/restore problems after 7.7.1 and could never get a full restore OR backup but last night I put my nose to the grinding stone and think I have it solved.

I was in the restore loop where when it DID restore it took me back to the restore from backup? or create as new phone? screen.

After giving up on restoring from backup not working I chose create new phone and the clouds parted and the sunbeams came down from the sky and iTunes opened up and my phone was there.

I then got a warning regarding an app so I killed it plus others I was not using and did a resync and eventually a backup and all is well as of today.

Anyone else have a PINK screen in iTunes after this upgrade?

Very weird

Try repairing disk permissions in Disk Utility.
I've noticed this iTunes update causes quite a few permissions errors.

You would think Apple of all companies making Mac software could create an installer that does not cause all these quirky permissions errors, wouldn't you?

Really? There's a Disk Utility for Windows to repair permissions? Weird.

The only difference I noticed after installing 7.7.1 and syncing my phone is that Outlook now syncs with my iPhone. Pre 7.7.1 I could only sync contacts but now everything appears to sync...I'm a happy camper.

People should really trim their apps. I just updated my PB and the size of iTunes was 114.5MB!, i stripped the Intel arch from the UB and excess languages and its now down to just 34.9MB!!

ARGH...same problem here. Anyone have advice on how to fix this? I can't handle this garish pink.

Nevermind found the fix. Apparently my graphic settings were at 16-bit (could iTunes installation have changed this?? Bizarre..), anyway I changed back to 32-bit and now I'm all good.

Yes, exactly what I fought. Though I am using a MB and stripped away the PPC part.

All I got from the two updates (iTunes + Snappy) was a semi-dead MBP. Caps/Num-lock respond, aswell with other system buttons, but my screen is completely dead. I got the 2.4 17". No idea what's going on...Wasn't expecting this to happen.

Any ideas?
