Hahaha, that is so true.

Not a fan of the white-ness of the windows..but with all things we hate change and will come to love it later.

I actually loved the improvements of iTunes 8, coverflow, the new grid view, etc.
This update though...not so big on.

Nice to see the possibility to import tunes from other iTunes libraries, but why can't we finally edit song information and ratings from other machines? I hate to use screen sharing to edit the library on my MacMini server.

And still no tags? Baaaaaah. :(

anyone having a crashing problem? Three times now I've been on the Device page and then click store and it just crashes.... Getting very annoying

I like the new design if only because the scroll bars have white "borders" instead of gray, so replacing the ugly Aqua scroll bars in OS X with these new iTunes ones wont clash now. The old iTunes 8 scroll bars looked really out of place in certain situations because they were gray instead of white.

I just dont understand why Apple keeps changing the look of iTunes but wont get rid of all the tacky Aqua in OSX. Its not hard, especially since the graphics have already been made.

Have to say i'm not a fan of the white look, a slider like in iPhoto would be grand because i would love to get back to the charcoal grey look when in the grid view. I love the new iTunes bar menu at the top of the store but my OCD was horrified to find they had left the little iTunes store side menu duplicating menu's. This is driving me nuts. To me it just looks wrong. Very wrong.:rolleyes: Also have they lightened the grey at the top of the window (with the trafic lights :D) not keen on that.

Did the UI designers fall asleep on this one and phoned it in?

Something that's been there since album art was introduced....

No, I remember when it was introduced, after album art was. But it has been there awhile.

anyone else having trouble with getting itunes into the mini-player?

green button seems to resize to screen, uh oh

Option-click the green button. (option-click used to resize to screen; looks like they reversed them, which is more consistent with the rest of the OS.)

Dang! That's what I was waiting to hear the answer on.

I can't see the point of importing tunes from other local libraries at all. So we can duplicate our music all over our house? What a pointless exercise. Presumably we'll all go out and buy extra Time Capsules now all our HDD our bursting!

Home Sharing sounds like Home Replicating, although the possibility to sync 'over the network' is useful I suppose (assuming you can do that without duplicating the songs to the local machine you sync to?)

Onwards with the mishy moshy network management of iTunes by having to access another iTunes library over the Network (ie; library file on my Music Server) - maybe iTunes 10 will deliver? :p

One other tiny thing that doesn't look right (to me). They've moved the close, minimise and zoom buttons on the mini player. Even though they're now centred (vertically), it just looks wrong.

(I think that's an old design 'mantra', to have the vertical and horizontal margin the same; i.e. it looks best to have the close button the same height from the top as from the left.)

I did a search and could not find anything on this.

Has anyone figured out how to enable the Twitter and Facebook functions in iTunes 9? I cannot seem to find this setting anywhere.

It's not really a set of functions that you could enable per se. The new feature concerning Twitter and Facebook is that you can share media links right from the iTunes store by clicking on the arrow next to the buy button.
