Google DNS, cache clearing, plist deleting, TunnelBear... none of that worked. I'm still getting the 5002 error.

EDIT: and what solved it...

Change your credit card. Even change it to something incorrect then change it back to the correct one.

The Solution.

Awesome! thanks it's working for me now!

Damn was I wrong...

8000 were matched, it wants to upload 10,000  around 1,000 done, 9000 + to go

Apparently it's matching some of them as it uploads them. I guess it tries to match a small sample then gives up and begins uploading. In that process, it has a bigger sample and eventually finds the song.

Taking an age here in Australia to gather information about my 24,532 songs… just hoping that it manages to match a lot of it, as I was hoping to have some internet bandwidth left over Christmas…

Not particularly impressed with the price either.

What, $34 is too much to get all 24,500 of your illegally downloaded songs made legal and available to you anywhere you are in the world with the click of a button.
Dont say you brought it all either, we know you didnt.

iTunes Match

All songs synced and ready to go here in the UK ! :)

Basically iTunes match is a cloud storage service with some extended media capabilities. Why should other people outside US pay more for the service? Dropbox for example costs the same in all corners of the earth, or do we in Europe have to pay some strange ghostly taxes on storage services now?

Not gonna happen too soon in Germany....As always...

it's up in Germany!!! can't believe... can't believe... iTunes Match in Germany!!!...

aaaammmaaaazing!!!... thank you so much Apple!!!

i expected it at the earliest in mid 2012

it matches nearly ALL of my songs... only 34 haven't been matched
(songs from private like Dj's..)

and it was much much faster as expected...
but i have only 448 songs

Just paid for match and it's apparently matched 1407 songs out of 2000.
I'm not 100% sure on the concept of match, but those 1407 songs have been upgraded to a higher bitrate?
Should the song title change too? For example, I have Jay Z and the Verve Bittersweet Symphony saved as just 'The Verve' which iTunes has matched, should it have changed the title to include Jay Z?

:p

10 hours later and still uploading my unmatched songs.

There was 1,000 (ish) unmatched songs and its taking forever.

To be honest, they aren't even songs, they are old radio shows I have saved, and each one is around 40MB.

I hope Apple has prepared for things like this.

90% of my music got matched and is working fine, probably because it's all legal.

They are probably in for a shock to see a lot of peoples iTunes library's are very messy and not possibly very legal, haha.

I think Jobs was a little niave at the iCloud keynote when he said, "We will match all your songs to songs in our iTunes library, and for the few we don't match, we'll upload them for you."

Few??!! In this thread alone i've seen people with over 5,000 unmatched songs!

But.......

Sorry to put a dampener on the party, but is it REALLY worth £21.99? I have a huge music library, and from what I have read about Match, it will not match songs that I have ripped from my on CD's and DVD's?

This means the majority of my library would be skipped anyway. So what are the REAL benefits of match? I want to be convinced, but I just don't see the value:confused:
