I'd like to see BitTorrent used for selling videos or any other download service. Especially if it was modified to download off the closest available machines - why download off someone in a different state or country if there's someone down the road.Lacero said:If they sell videos online, they might incorporate a similar protocol like BitTorrent to easy the burden on their servers and their bandwidth. Doing so, they may be able to sell the licenses for a dollar or two.

anyone attempted this?

I realise they are adding to the service, but I think it's all fluff. I read the liner notes once and they stay on the shelf seeing as I don't really need them with my pod or in the car when I am listening to the music. And videos on a screen as small as a PSP or pod is just ridiculous. It's nice to know Apple are developing all the time without waiting until the product goes stale, but I only see these efforts as puff.Jeromie said:The video download feature is cool and the harbinger of things to come, but for now I'm most excited about the inclusion of the liner notes in pdf form. I've been waiting for this since the availibility of online music. I like to have all the liner notes, not just the cover art. With the liner notes AND the video, it now seems that iTunes has added value to the standard CD release.

Movies only show at certain times just like in the cinemas.. The advantage of this is that now you can watch movies at home and you dont have to go all the way down to the cinema to watch it. Most people nowadays have home cinema systems anyway so this would be great. I for one would be really interested. The video quality would also be really good since it will be streaming in H.264.
Well this is my thought...take as you wish..but it would be an awesome idea..me thinks
Sunrunner said:The 30" was: a) so big it didn't look like it would fit right on my desk, and b) another 1500 for only 7" didn't seem like much of a value.
If I wanted more screen space, Id rather get another 23" and span my desktop across the two.

Doesn't H.264 scale down so videos can play on cell phones?dotdotdot said:1) Apple wont sell H.264 videos in iTunes because only G5s can play them - iPods can't.
But shouldn't be available through SU? I thought that all updates were available throught SU. Am I missing something here?~Shard~ said:I checked for it too and didn't find it, so I just downloaded it from Apple's site.
