This case looks pretty nice. Wonder if it will work with Bodyguardz or similar on the back and SGP or PS on the front though. Also, I can't tell if there are actually cutouts for the buttons or if they are covered (I'm assuming they're open since this is a hard case but maybe there's some type of thin rubber over the buttons?). Any lay on the table design?

The case comes with front and back screen protectors so I'm guessing it will work with Bodyguardz, SGP, etc.

I ordered yesterday morning and I received shipping notice just now.

I see that they're located in New Jersey and I'm in New York, hopefully the shipping time is much less than the 3-5 days for USPS

No. I believe it was mentioned on the q&a on the Ivyskin site.

I didn't look that closely but you're probably right. Cases that snap on don't usually have lay on the table design. Have any of you guys used a poly carbonate case before? Are they slippery or a fingerprint magnet? I've tried a couple of switcheasy's cases (Vulcan and Nude) and didn't like them and I'm wondering if this is anything like those. I like the idea of a clear case but not if it's slippery and is full of fingerprints all the time.

Poly carbonate=fancy name for plastic that's basically the same. It feels like plastic. So slippery, yes.

Anyone receive one yet? I got my tracking number on the 19th but seems like it may not have been shipped yet, just a notification to USPS.

Ditto. USPS tracking says that electronic shipping info was received on the 19th but that's it (when I asked IvySkin previously, they said it would actually ship on the 20th). I'm in no hurry to get the case so we'll see when the info updates.

This is what I get when entering the tracking info:
"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on July 19, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

Same, kinda misleading to give us shipping notification yet it hasn't been shipped yet.

lame.

Mine is the same...shipped with no update.

I use USPS for my small business and in my experience their tracking system is L-A-M-E.

We will see.

well i always order and choose usps for shipment. i don't know if ivyskin actually gave the shipment to usps that is why the package is not moving.

I called them today and they said it will ship at the end of the week. I ordered it on July 9th and people who have just ordered yesterday already got shipping confirmation. Hoping it will be here by at least Tuesday:mad:

In my experience, USPS has always been very slow in updating their tracking information. It's certainly possible that IvySkin haven't given the packages to them yet but USPS might also just be (very) delayed in updating the info

Well I emailed them and got this reply

We shall see if it arrives within the 8 days

Thanks for e-mailing them

I know USPS doesn't have the most sophisticated tracking system but you would think after a day, we'd get some sort of update.

Usually you get a shipment notification when the company notifies the carrier that they will be shipping the product. This applies to USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Doesn't mean that the shipment is on its way, it just means the carrier has been made aware of the shipment and should be expecting the package in their system soon.
