Wow, they keep living up to their nickname.

I'm the one that got an empty envelope instead of the case. I called Ivyskin that day and explained that I had received an empty envelope and had refused the package. The guy I spoke to said he would send another one. I asked for expedited shipping, but he said he did not think they could due to supply issues. So, I have received nothing yet, so I called them up today.

The guy I spoke to, who gave his name as Tom, was extremely abrasive and condescending, right from the word go. Of course, they have no record of my previous call and he pretty much accused me of lying and trying to run a scam. He said that they had shipped out 20,000 packages and this never happens. Well, I am here to tell you it happened to me. Unfortunately, because of the USPS systems, the postman cannot mark a product as damaged, so he just marked it as refused.

This guy Tom, who will not give me his last name or any other contact name of the company has threatened me with trying to ruin my credit (which I am pretty sure is against the law) if I charge the product back using Amex and also said he was going to turn me in to the US Postal Inspector for mail fraud after I talked to my local PO and called him back with their info. (my conscience is clear, I can swear on a stack of bibles that I never received the case, because I did not). He has also told me that they looked up the wieght of the product in their system between calls and they can prove the case was in the envelope. Whats this case weigh, a few grams? I find it hard to beleive that they can tell if it was in the envleope or not and even if it was sorted once with it, does not mean it can't fall out later as I know they are not weighing packages on the mail truck. :rolleyes:

THis also reinforces that I should never use the USPS as their tracking systems are still not that good.

Any decent company would just happily send me a new case for the goodwill, but Ivyskin is obviously not a decent company.

Steer clear of Ivyskin., They are unethical at best.



OK, so while I can't beleive it after our pretty heated conversation ended with me hanging up on the guy as he loudly accused me of being a thief, Tom did call me back quite calmly and politely and offered to go ahead and send another case. I told him that at this point, Ijust wanted to have my money back and he agreed. I now have an email from Ivyskin telling me I am getting a refund. Now, probably coincidentally, this is about an hour after I got off the phone with Amex to put this into dispute and about an hour and a half after filing a complaint with the BBB and a posting on Reseller Ratings (the other 4 were all pretty much the same).

So, they eventually did hte right thing (maybe once they realized I knew my rights and was not going to just say oh well). If they had just been nice about it and communicated with me all along (oh, and not accuse me of being a thief), I might consider buying from them again, but now, they have lost a customer forever.
 
Wow, this company seems absolutely horrible. I thought it was just a one time thing with them taking a month to refund my money, but it seems everyone is getting the same treatment.
 
Those of you looking for a case similar to the ivyskin but better check out the incase snapcase. They got it right.
 
I got my Ivyskin case today...order it just Monday this week.

I really like the case, it blends in with the phone very well, much better then the Apple Bumper case which made my iPhone feel like a walkie-talkie. From the front of the phone, you really don't notice it...I mean you do but it feels as if it's part of the phone, like it has a clear acrylic surround instead of an aluminum one, but almost like it was designed that way.

I love how it rounded out the edges, much more comfortable to hold then a naked iPhone.

The charger area is great, it works with my Griffin car charger which did not work with the Apple Bumper.

The fit is excellent, it snaps on very tight.

For the bad parts, the controls are not nearly as easy to press as with the Apple Bumper case and it also does not fit in the Dock which I was hoping it would. It actually fits but does not charge, it must be just barely off because it slides down in the dock pretty far.
 
After multiple emails to Ivyskin about a refund with no response, I disputed the transaction through Google Checkout, and they emailed me today saying they are issuing me a refund.

man i feel like i just got kicked in the u know whats... I knew i shoulda went with my first gut reaction and not buy... uggg if i only googled the right words.... So I googled iphone 4 cases, and ivy skin popped out, now this is my 1st iphuck and so i figured might as well fid one I liked... here is the one thing that makes me laugh, I actually was more paranoid about the googlecheckout than the actual criminal... harsh maybe, but honestly to the 2 people(1 if u ask me) that said they got theirs, and that it came quick, why are u here posting then? I only found this site after I saw I fat fingered my city, and emailed them with the correction, it was only after a day had past and I got home with no response that I did some digging.... If I had recieved my case as stated, then I would have no desire to troll forums looking to add my 2 cents... so I will wait till tomorrow and if after I call I feel like I do now, I will call google checkout and my bank and if I have to Hackensack PD.. they dont want to mess with me, I have had far more important men thrown in front a judge with less...

I have called hackensack PD, they told me to call my local PD, which then led me to ic3.gov I urge you all to do the same. more people that submit this info to the feds the faster we can stop them from robbing others.

I was actually able to speak with someone, he was a rude SOB, he yelled at me telling me that he didnt have to listen to me, even though he never let me say anything. he told me that he had sent me an email in reply to mine, he never did. he said he was the boss when i asked to speak to his manager, so i asked him if he is the boss, what is his name, which he refused. so I asked him if he was the boss then he must be Mike wessman(the owner as listed by bbb) he denied it and then hung up on me, actually he hung up on me 6 times. each time i reminded him that A)this is america and the customer is always right, and B) i have unlimited minutes and would just keep calling back. i think after the 5th time when I told him I had reported him to HPD and SDPD, as well as IC3 and bbb he got the message that I wasnt going to stop till I got what is rightfully mine. It took me close to an 1hr before he conceeded and refunded me my money. Be for warned, while yes they may have been at one time a business in good standing, they are no long as such, this "tom" guy is a liar, an *******, and a cheat. he treats people with no respect, takes your money and treats you as if you owe him... I am curious to know how many people he has cheated...
I am still keeping my complaint logged with IC3 and because I have nothing better to do I will continue to make sure this guy either gets his sh$t str8 or gets shut down... as my man turko says, "IT aint Right!!"

Funny thing is if they had just been honest and communicated that they were having shipping difficulties to their customers, they would probably not have lost all their sales and would not appear so scammy.

FYI, Speck who are much bigger fish than Ivy people or DLO/phillips who are even bigger with over 1000 empolyees both have their BBB revoked and have F ratings.

Better yet, look up google's ratings ;)... BBB is BBBBBBS

I ordered the black reception case from them and I've been using it for two weeks, it ships with port covers, front & back screens and head phone jack plugs. Great product for $15.

LMAO, Mr. Skin, or can I call you Ivy? You're a riot. How can I be unhappy with it? I never got it. I had dispute my charge to get a refund as they kept telling me it was shipped and wouldn't give me a refund. Feel free to check my IP address for multiple usernames, you won't find any. As for 90% of my posts being about your employer, don't think so..... but every one of those posts was worth the effort because you, sorry, I mean they, got what they deserved.

It's also strange how one of your last posts used the identical words as someone else's post with a different name and who also was a first time poster.

You must be the same guy who posted the 80 reviews on IvySCAM's website before the product was even available.

Please keep this thread going. My last post was in MID-AUGUST, 2 months ago. It had died off for a while and I'm glad you and your multiple personalities brought it back to life. It'll keep IvyScam's name on top which is perfect. ;)
 
I hate ivyskin ivyscam! My post never posted on their website maybe because of the bashing hahaha. Ivyskin should really close their website. Garbage!
