I'm no lawyer, however I can see "vandalism" accusations coming from this.
Well, it's reasonable they got thrown out of the store. The employees have to restore the devices which costs time.I can't seem to find the article, but I remember that there were four guys who jailbroke iPhones in an Apple store, and got banned from the store.
I'm sure apple or AT&T will password protect safari on there demos so the browser can't be used.
Im pretty sure it wouldn't be too hard for Apple to block a certain website, like how they blocked Facebook in the Regent Street Store.
That would only work for WiFi access. Turn that off and you would still be able to JB the phone over 3G.
wow, JB via safari browser? That means anyone can go to an apple retail store, use any of their many iPhone 4 demo stations and jailbreak their entire fleet of iPhone 4 demos for sh*ts and giggles.
Just lettin' ya'll know.

How is this pathetic? Jailbreaking doesn't do anything to the device. It's a display model its not like i took some random guys touch and jailbroke. If bestbuy even noticed there being a cydia app now there all they would have to do is plug it in to a computer and hit restore. Give me a break.

So after doing this stunt, the Apple Store employees have to waste time restoring these phones, which takes them away from doing something productive like waiting on a customer. Great idea!
I agree it would be a little ridiculous to jailbreak 30 + plus devices in an apple store is a little much but when you got one display model in a best buy I dont see any harm. If i was working at the store and I saw someone did this to the display model it would get a laught out of me.

You kids have fun, though the question arises, "what's the point"?

could just block jailbreakme.com on their networks. same as jobs/schools do other web sites.
