And thus continues the selling out of our nation to foreign countries.

Not happy to see this. Soon the rest of the world will own us, if not already.

amazing factual statement. This does not help the us economy either. but im sure it helps sprints foreign phone support.

I love how sprint attracts customers to their most unusable service with their "Unlimited Data" advertising. You'd think they'd have to be smarter than that... You don't want to advertise the worst aspect of your product. Between Sprint's foray into WiMAX and their foolish advertising campaign, it isn't hard to see why they're at where they're at right now: Poor leadership.

Regardless, would be nice to see a change in the US cellular market. hopefully a good change

My response in English:

I don't see how a company who's basically the Sprint of Japan can make a change in the U.S. market. I also don't understand how SoftBank buying an American company that has the same struggles they have in Japan benefits either but I applaud their optimism because, if they manage to take higher market share themselves in Japan, perhaps that same formula will work here.
Trying to stop a boat from sinking by tying it to another leaky boat. :) Still, the strategy worked unexpectedly well for HP-Compaq merger.

I JUST got home from school (I feel pretty sick) and flipped the TV onto my local CBS affiliate (WTOL, Toledo, Ohio) and they were talking about SoftBank buying Sprint-Nextel. Maybe it is happening?

Then again, it is daytime television news. :D
