Great light-hearted, feel-good show! I'm glad Jason got an award for it too.

I find it odd that this happens though:
1. Person hates Ted Lasso
2. Person clicks into thread about Ted Lasso

That'll show the internet! Go get 'em tiger.
It used to happen all the time back when IMDb had discussion boards. Never seems any shortage of people who want to talk about being offended by something harmless.

So appropriate. Season 1 was/is the best new show on streaming services. There have been too many anti-hero shows of late. It’s so refreshing to have a series based on an unshakeable optimism in the potential of people.

Plus, Sdeikis is damn funny.

The trailer and initial premise was of no interest to me but I thought I'd give it a whirl...worst case scenario it was a 30 minute or 60 minute loss if we tried a second episode.

BUT....we really liked it. Cliched parts, sure. but I felt the acting was SO MUCH better than Mythic Quest. We are looking forward to the next season(s).
Agreed, far better than Mythic Quest, which brought in too much of the Sunny vibe of acting.

He deserved the award, but the show? Not feeling it... Maybe I watch a fair number of HBO shows with some depth... this isn't it. Insanely predictable story. Ridiculous over the top script (Lion or Panda and Rebecca's interaction didn't add up - you don't care and don't have time, and suddenly... you do.). Darts... their pulling 180s, and doubling out on 170 in a pub? Come on. The needled the script to mention Apple stock amongst product placement? The team beat my Everton at Goodison - that's not a highlight of a team learning to win - that's a predictably horrible Everton bolloxing it up again.
One might almost call it “fictional”

Ted lasso was fine. But people are making it out to be the best show on television, it’s not. It was fun to watch though.

I wish Apple would stop making vanilla shows and make things the people want. People love Sci-Fi and action, which is why Mandalorian and Wandavision are the top streamers.

Apple TV + is the only streaming service where I feel like I can click into literally anything and it’ll be 10/10. Can’t say the same for Netflix or (oh god) Prime.
I have to agree. Limited content though compared to the others, but most is really good. Between appleTV+ and Disney+, my family and I have able stay sane through this pandemic!

Apple is new to the game; They don't have the luxury of having the Marvel and Lucasfilm catalog (Wandavision is awesome, btw). The trailer for Foundation does look really good. We'll see...

Richly well deserved. Should have won for best comedy/musical as well.

This x 1,000. SO, so accurate. Apple TV+ has straight aces as far as content. Much higher overall quality ratio when compared to Netflix.

And gosh darn it, so likeable!

I finally found some free time to watch the first two episodes about a week ago. And I truly loved the show from the beginning. Now, I have to find more free time to watch the other episodes...

He played the character extremely well. Someone you thought was an American goof, but ended up being very witty, caring, and charismatic. Just a few episodes in and you are already rooting for him and care about the path his character takes. It really is everything you could want from a main character in a show.

Taste is subjective. I thought it was really good. Not my pick for best, but maybe my pick for best new show in 2020.

Well Deserved. We need more Ted Lassos in this world, and we also need more positive shows in this world. We as a human race need to reminded that compassion and empathy are important, and striving to find common ground with people we are not politically or ideologically aligned should be worth it.
