Conan's funnier in 140 characters (or less) than Leno is (or will ever be) on an hour of network television.

His latest tweet:

"I just had the fries at the McDonald's in Culver City near the Lady Foot Locker. SO AWESOME. If you can get there, ORDER THOSE FRIES."

Looks like he was at Westfield Century City (formerly Fox Hills Mall)....:D

To each his own. To me Conan has never been funny a day in his life.

Well, then I guess it's a good thing that you're not in charge of humor.:D
I never said that. Different people have different tastes (the world would be mighty boring if we didn't) and I'm sure Conan has his fans, but I'm not one of them (and neither is a large part of the population it seems).

it is quite BS tho, Leno took over in '92, Letterman bolted to CBS and it took Leno until 1996 before his rating finally went back up to be able to beat Letterman. So 3 1/2 - 4yrs The Late Show was winning the viewers compared to 6 months with Conan.

I was a huge fan of "Late Night with Conan" and was thrilled when he took over the "Tonight Show". I know it's more NBC's fault than Leno's, but I have still banned the new "Tonight Show" from my house.

I'M WITH COCO!

Seems Hulu viewers love Jay.

How old are you? So far it seems to me that people older than 40 like Leno and people younger than 40 like Conan. I'm 28 and can't stand Leno and don't find him funny. I roll in laughter watching Conan. Everyone I know my age loves Conan, but my parents can't stand him, and love Leno.

Yea, it isn't Jay's fault, but this whole thing is surely going to hurt his image for a while. I won't watch The Tonight Show ever again, as long as Leno is doing it, but I never watched it before with him anyway. I've watched Conan for a long time, and I thought he was great on The Tonight Show. I look forward to watching him again, hopefully this Fall.

Mark me down as one of the 40+ age group baby boomers that greatly prefers Conan's brand of humor over Leno's.

Leno is past his prime, much like Bob Hope in his later years. Jay was funny when he started on Tonight, but he's just gotten old and wrinkled and stale.

I don't in particular really care for either, but prefer Conan to Leno, and Carson over anybody. Nobody could host a show like Johnny.

I think in the end, the problem with Conan O'Brien hosting The Tonight Show came down to this: the only people that really appreciated the show when O'Brien was host either lived east of the Hudson River in New York City or west of La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA--in short, a small, but boisterous and highly influential demographic. Small wonder why they couldn't figure out why Leno is suddenly doing well back on The Tonight Show gig or why shows like 30 Rock have such an unusually small audience for a Thursday night show.

I never liked late nite tv except for the Comedy Channel but I did think Conans' last days were terrific. I really can't stand Leno after this. I knew exactly what he was doing when he took the 10pm slot. It's not a coicidence that virtually everyone in the entertainment industry can't stand him.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Give the slot to Tina Fey. 30 Rock, while a great show, doesn't get the ratings it should. She is the head writer and is someone who knows how to think on her toes. I would watch her. She would also be the first woman to have her own late nite show. Joan Rivers was only a sub for Carson and she was poor at that.
