Leno moving to 11:35 and Conan for 12:5 and Fallon at 1:05

Still sucks that conan has leno as a lead in. I hope NBC can make quailty shows out of this

Okay.. so let's get this straight.

Leno is at 11:35pm. Conan is back to 12:30 - 12:50am, and Fallon is at 1am?

Isn't this back where they were originally?

Either way, outside of watching Sick Puppies play it Live, I really don't watch Leno. I only watched Conan once, roughly 15 years ago when Mr. T made a comeback, and never watched Fallon.

If there were ever a time to miss Carson and McMahon, now would be it.

No. First Conan was always longer than 20 minutes. Also Jimmy Fallon took over for Conan at his old timeslot. It was (and still is?) Carson Daly after that.

P.S. All an hour earlier in the Central and Mountain time zones.

I was meaning his start time was somewhere between 12:30 and 12:50. Why I mention that is below.

Here on the Left coast, Leno would come on at 11:35, followed by Conan at 12:35, then whoever it was that followed Conan (I believe Ferguson), and that show was 30 minutes.

What is happening now sounds like what they were originally at to begin with.

All we need now is for Arsenio to make an appearance again, and we're all golden.

Just drop Leno and let Conan have more leeway to do his 12:30 show at 11:30 with the better skits. Conan never should have left NY, he was in his element there. If they move Leno back to 11:30 ahead of Conan it ruins the tonight show as a franchise. NBC really screwed this whole thing up in keeping Leno around.

His time never was. He wasn't well liked when he first started hosting late night, and he's still not well liked. Conan can be pretty funny, but I've never liked Leno.

Personal feelings aside, Leno led in ratings over Lettermen 13 years in a row. That's nothing to scoff at.

"On September 22, 2006, Variety reported that The Tonight Show led in ratings for the 11th consecutive season, with a nightly average of 5.7 million viewers – 31% of the total audience in that time slot – compared to 4.2 million viewers for the Late Show with David Letterman, 3.4 million for Nightline and 1.6 million for Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"At 11:35 p.m. ET during the fourth quarter 2008, The Tonight Show won the time period over CBS’s the Late Show with David Letterman by a 19% margin in adult 18-49 viewers and 25 percent in total viewers."

As much as I love Conan, I think the new format and west coast move has actually hurt the quality of his show. Some of his "college humor" skits can't be shown in his new time slot (masturbating bear, etc). And Andy being back on the show competes against Conan's banter with Max. Apparently, the ratings show it too since he's lost to Letterman ever since he took over.

"By November 2009, two months after the premiere of The Jay Leno Show in September, ratings for The Tonight Show were down "roughly two million viewers a night year-to-year" from when Leno hosted the program."

They should fire Jeff Zucker for moving them all around in the first place. How he went from the producer of the Today Show to NBC Universal's CEO, I'll never know.

Ugh. I hate that NBC has screwed Conan over again. And it especially sucks how him and his crew had to relocate from NYC to LA and this happens in less than a year.

Leno has nothing funny or insightful to say. He should take over Pauly Shore's job of not being funny at the unemployment office and let the rest of us take a break from skipping over NBC's channel from 11:30 to 12:30.

I don't love Conan, but he's funnier than Leno, and generally speaking, I don't like it when people get screwed over in this way.

Wow... I thought Jay Leno show was pretty bad. I only watched it a few times and not all the way through. I liked him on late night thou. There was something different about his new show thou.

This is going to be very interesting to see what happens to Conan if this is true!!

Leno is good if you know current events.

Okay, looks like I was wrong on the TMZ thing.

There are people who like Leno, but this really doesn't look good for NBC's image. Conan should be pissed.

And, uh, not namin' names, but somebody in this thread needs to get their own jokes, not repeat Leno's.

yeah pretty much all NBC fault

as of earlier 2009 :

you had 1) Letterman, 2) Leno, 3) (in a way, Jimmy). All three were still relatively young and each had minimum 5 years remaining easily...more like 10 years. Then you have Conan and (Ferguson : who i consider a tier below Conan).

It sucks, but Conan just got the short end of the stick. Best option for him was to wait 5-10 years more just to get a 11:35 slot and he probably didnt want that because by that time maybe NBC would just go with brand new blood. Well NBC said lets do all these moves now (simply because they sort of promised it 5 years ago to avoid this exact situation), and boom they realized that doing that was a mistake and Leno wasnt quite ready to go.

At least he had "killer" guests. Woof! Woof! Woof! :D

Mea culpa. In my defense, I thought it was appropriate, given that Leno used that line during the whole Leno-Letterman thing back in '93.

C'mon man, Craig Ferguson is not even on the same network (he follows Letterman at the 12:35 timeslot).
