As past history has shown us, a lot of those 'month-long' waits turn into launch day deliveries.
The rose gold actually had the earliest delivery dates right now, which is strange since last year it was new and easily the most popular.
This. Within a week or two you will probably be able to walk into a store and get one. Especially if they do the "reserve" thing after 10pm each night.

I'm hoping they ship sooner than that as I have a buyer for my 6s Plus and he is looking for me to ship the day after launch day.

Oh do the person a favor, create new account and log in confirming what you said from first account. Everyone knows, on Internet forums two strangers saying same thing is golden, one saying it is suspect. Self verification, it's the new thing!
Me as well - I had a 256 jet black 7 plus in my cart (favorited) ready to go and the app glitched when confirming my billing zip code and social. Had to start over but still got ship date of Sept 26th... We will see.
My AT&T Jet Black 256GB showed an October 7-14 delivery date. We'll see.
I was torn between the black and jet black, and I finally pulled the trigger on JB. I'm sure I'll be second-guessing myself until delivery. My 6 is a silver, which I love, but I hate using a case, which I've just consigned myself to for at least another year. :/

I originally wanted jet black and my heart was set on it. It looks bad ass!..Then I started watching videos of the fingerprints...and fingerprints..and more fingerprints...Its horrible. And I was only really worried about the scratching..Which is bad as well. But the fingerprint thing is just ridiculous! I have bad OCD and that would just drive me insane. So at 3am I ordered a matte black 256 and couldn't be happier.
I really hope that's not what it means lol. Whether it says my order is ready or not, I am showing up at Best Buy on Oct. 16.
Same here man, ordered right away iphone 7 plus 128gb jet black unlocked , paid in full outright and i got 2-3 weeks, thats fine i can wait it out, could have ordered the matte black and gotten it 2 weeks earlier but who needs the matte black lol

We'll all going to be using cases as always, i am going to be using the apple leather case on my jet black plus, so to answer your question, No i wont be seeing fingersprints as it will be in a case
