With the Jet Black being a new highly anticipated color, I wouldn't bank on thinking you will still get it early...you may or may not. Its funny just hearing people complain when you should've known that was going to happen.

I've been through several preorders over the years. Everyone gets outrageous delivery dates when they order, everyone moans about it on here, and then at the last minute before launch day the delivery dates get updated and they show up on launch day and everyone is happy.
The only instance where this was different was the first Apple Watch preorder, that was screwed up than usual, I think my wife got hers a couple days after launch but well before the initial delivery estimate.
None of them are Jet black iPhone 7 pluses though, they are either the matte black version or just the smaller iphone 7 which apple seems to have a great stock of.
I find it funny though how everyone was saying they were getting the matte black yet the jet black sold out so quickly lol it was almost like they tried tricking us buyers who were actually saying we were ordering the jet black from the begining here on the forums lol, and these same people here on the forums also tried to convince us on how easily it might scratch etc yet when that 3:00AM time hit they rushed and ordered the jet black
Yeah..I know..I put mine in a case too...And that was my original reason for passing on the jet black...A lot of people are saying it scratches like crazy even when in a case. The dust paticles that get trapped in the case are scratching the shiz out of the gloss..Kinda like what happened with the 3G black plastic...And I couldn't deal with that. But I do love the way it looks. And I really hope that it isn't as bad as it looks online.

Well, for one, the 3G's back was made of plastic, on the iphone 7 plus it is made of aluminum, and sure it may scratch but its going to get scratched no matter and i could care less tbh, im going to buy the phone, put a nice screen protector on it, put the apple leather case on it and use it to its fullest,
The style appeal of the jet black far outweighs the boring look of the matte black that looks just like the space grey that was available since the iphone 6 even though it means that the jet black may get scratched easier,
A case is required no matter what.

When I saw att was delayed delivery I checked Apple. They still showed 16. It took three tries for them to connect to att and by the time I was ready to check out it was also showing delayed. I'll have a case on mine anyway so I went with matte. I had forgotten that my phone now has a silver back since its in a black case.
Which one did you order? I having it shipped to my house so I can keep unlimited data
I ordered the black 128gb. I ended up calling Best Buy and switched it over to having it shipped to my house.

I had jet black 256gb on apple store app and when i FINALLY got the app to work at 3:08 am it already said October 15 ship date. Never seen any date start to drift so fast. Why Apple would make so little for launch I have no idea. The ONLY thing i can think of is that they only realized they needed a model that popped recently, and tacked it on manufacturing at the end.
I ended up switching to matte black. Not waiting until October 15 or later for shinyness. Apple and the carriers ALWAYS screw one mode's buyers over every launch, for the Apple watch it was Space Grey 38mm with black band.

I'm mad it slowed me down. I got side tracked when jet black wasn't available by the time I finally placed my order for regular black I'm getting it a week past launch. Errr. But I guess it's better than October or November.

Ditto, I concerned going with matte black to get it on time but figured I would rather wait and get what I really want. Plus, since I am traveling almost all of October for work, I couldn't place my order once I missed the launch day window. I am debating placing an order now for November but am afraid I would get "lucky" and it would arrive early while I am gone. I guess I will be taking my chances on finding store stock while traveling in October somewhere for a 128 Jet Black 7+. At this point, if I get it by Halloween I will be thrilled, Thanksgiving I will be thankful.
