Good for you, mate. It's nice to get a rough idea of how much melanin everybody's skin has. Would any other posters like to share such relevant information? (I'm human btw)

We're all human and entitled to the same rights, freedoms, and privileges. That's the one fact that many choose to ignore and or deny.

Exactly.

People can hate hip hop and it's culture or the quality of Beats all they want, but we have to give due respect and credit Dr. Dre and Iodine's brilliant marketing and using their position to elevate Beats into it's current status.

I will say this again. What is obvious so far if this deal is true ...

Apple will definitely steal a big percentage of that market. Dr. Dre and Iodine endorsements and influence will definitely bring additional billions $ to Apple for the long term. It will be also be new arena(s) for Apple engineering to explore. And there maybe some other big surprises too. And what if Google, Facebook or Samsung beats Apple to this?

Why the supposed gurus and analysts cannot get this? Smh

I often thought the headphones they made were the skullcandy variety. If at all anything has elevated them, it is the fact that they are associated with Apple, now.

And once this deal goes though, Apple with lose that cachet as well. After this I wouldn't be surprised if Apple buys "Durabrand" because it is widely sold in Walmart. You know Billions and Billions.. which is what seem to matter anyway right?

Trap music is Electronic 808 beats with Hip Hop roots. So what were you saying about me not knowing about TRAP music

Trap nowadays is just Lex Luger's production style everyone's been biting for the past couple years. That Katy Perry Dark Horse song uses trap. Same as a few years back when radio was all about Skrillex and every pop song had to have a dubstep drop with the bass drum going nuts. Or in the 90's where every R&B and rap song bit Dre's G-Funk style and had high pitched synths and wet basslines. Trap is just the production flavor of the month.

And the 808 has nothing to do with EDM other than people namedropping it all the time trying to get street cred. Planet Rock used an 808

It's not about race...

If you mouthbreathing pinheads still think this is about race, allow me to sum up my feelings in an easy-to-digest picture:

Fine all of those you listed are Pop music anything that is not pop? If you read carefully I also said Pop artist not just Hip Hop but both Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine have worked with hip hop artist.

Yep. Johnny Cash and Judas Priest sure are pop artists.

Well, according to the lyrics websites, he released detox in 2014, in which the song "topless" sings about girls with their boobs hanging out and he is the shooting kind.

The song Under Pressure speaks about getting high, he's a weedhead, and he's living his mother***** life.

The song Mr. Perscription talks about him getting high again and having sex with women.

So, I'm sorry but I just don't think that this guy has grown up at all. It's not someone I would want to represent my company.

That certainly is true. I certainly wish they wouldn't sell this kind of music on itunes.

I think it's a little different now, though, since Dr. Dre is going to be representing apple publicly.

You know selling all kinds of music on iTunes is cool. Different people have different tastes....

But someone like him becoming a spokesman/representative of a company like Apple is not right.

Tim Cook and Company botched this one. Looks like he made some very measured and calm moves since day one... but he caved in on this.

But on the positive side, you learn from your mistakes.
