"First, I'm going to give you few updates, and then we'll get to the meat of todays keynote.

... So, last year was our best year ever in retail, and we broke all previous records in our Mac-shipments. So what about new products? Well, I'm happy to report to you that today we are releasing a brand new set of iPod socks and sleeves. Socks are hand-knitted by bunch of old ladies in Florida, and the sleeves are made from the finest Corinthian Leather we could find. Prices are $79 for the socks, and $149 for the sleeves. And that wraps up the Keynote, I'll be seeing you at WWDC!"

The Mac blogasphere and MWSF would collapse in on itself and create a black hole destroying the Earth. In effect Jobs would doom mankind.

Actually, seeing how many old farts there are here in Florida, I'd say that the omg apple Fanboi™!!!!!!1!11one! crowd would buy so many that the profits would make them so rich that Social Security and Medicaire wouldn't need reform anymore!

If SJ's excited more than usual I think the announcements are going to be earth shattering! :D

I.....can't........wait!:D

and I'm off!

Okay, I can't take it. I've decided to completely block myself from coming to MR until after the keynote. I will explode otherwise. It doesn't help that after the keynote I get to call AppleCare to see what they're sending me to replace my PowerBook with. Oh my.

SJ was also excited as he introduced iPod socks.

besides, i can't be excited when we don't have any elevator photos...

That's because the camera to take the picture resides inside the boxes in the elevators. yep thats it.

Inviting all of his close friends?

It's gotta be the unvailing of the 30th Anniversary Mac or Leopard. Unless it's the ONE other product representing Apple's 30th Anniversary...not the Mac or Leopard.

Sit back and enjoy!

If Steve Jobs is excited, then I'm excited.

[Thinking outloud]: I'm going to keep a calm mind about the keynote incase of a let-down.

I was actually thinking along the same lines. Reasons for inviting close friends, if said rumor is true, could simply be because it's a 30th Anniversary. While I have no solid reason to expect an anniversary product, as Apple has a history of producing, I wouldn't be surprised to see an anniversary iMac (being this is really the product that undoubtedly brought Apple back to life in recent history).

If such an iMac were on the horizon I wouldn't be surprised if it took form of the original teal iMac, but in a very flashy, luxurious fashion. Chrome comes to my mind but who knows.

I love the keynotes. At least you know something is coming! Even if it's small.

Here's Bill Gates Keynote at 2007 CES since you love Keynotes so much. :D [He even used "Keynote" in the name...lame]

Waiting for the ondemand video so I can watch and laugh my @ss off. This should tie me over until SJ does a *PROPER* keynote which by then BGs keynote will be *NUKED*. :D :D :D :D :D

WTF???

Just clicked on the link and the title changed. Looks like they removed the word "Keynote" in the title. But do a mouse over Bill Gates and text to the right shows the original title. Hahahaha

I love how all the financial shows on TV are stating that if Apple doesn't produce an iPhone on Tuesday the stock will take a serious hit. Since when did rumors become facts? They're the ones who are pushing this on everyone... all these analysts speaking as if they've had a guided tour of Apple's top secret labs. Don't get sucked in by the hype.

Oh dear, SJ leaves

Im sure Steve wants people there to say goodbye. I think he will take a leave from Apple and work as a advisor.

Thats the big thing he wants to bring people in for.

But as he is leaving, he will want to set Apple up how he wants it for the future and get the projects out that he has been working on.
I see more consumer electronics with a full ecosystem thing going on. Thats what Steve is excited about, bringing out a phone, ipod, TV box, and computers and working well together.

I've been looking at the countdown timer for the past 3 days thinking the Keynote was today (Monday). Now its tomorrow, its annoying me silly. I thought I could go to uni, then go to the gym, come back from the gym, convince myself that I wouldn't look at apple.com or macrumors.com then somehow do my coursework until the feed was on Apple's website.

But now, I'm just going to spoil myself rotten and come here...!!!

A very special... Macworld. I can just see it now. He is going to make a tearful goodbye. Up on the big screen... iQuit

It's a good theory though. If he were leaving the stock would tank and they would want to show off a lot of cool stuff to offset this. Nah. I'm going to stick with low expectations for Leopard and iTV. Nothing more.

That's what the stock market is man, everyone guessing. It's gambling with a sharp suit and a tie :)

Apple products are always great. Plus a hundred dollars. And that one annoying thing that makes you want to wait for rev. b. When it isn't exciting anymore, and you're too busy waiting for the next big thing. Which will be great. Plus $100. But that 1 annoying thing...

Keep that in mind, and you won't be too disappointed.

If he is so excited its got to be about entering a new market and the opportunities it can bring.

The Macstar

I'm thinking it's gonna be a giant moon-like space station equipped with a giant laser capable of destroying entire worlds. Probably going to be called the iMacStar. When the laser is fired and the planet explodes it lets off that Mac restart sound... doooooooooooooooooooooooong.

Or maybe an iPod Angstrom. A music playing device so infinitely small it is designed to sit directly on your tympanic membrane.
