Reading stories of people who started in lowly positions, worked hard, knew their stuff, and were eventually recognized in amazing ways motivate me. Looking forward to reading a book in 20 years, maybe longer, with stories from this time period. The newest book on Jobs (Steve Jobs in Exile) was really good—something that was a blip on my radar had all sorts of layers behind the scenes.

The contrast between those pictures is stark.

Why do I think of Anakin Skywalker and Senator Palpatine?

Ternus has such a happy, almost innocent look on his face. Cook looks like he's about to lure you into something.
So are you saying that at the end of John's term he will be Darth Vader? That's a scary thought. 😱

Godspeed John Ternus. I hope the BoD (especially Cook) will allow him to forge a new path for Apple, to take risks and of course to make mistakes in the process.

Apple one of the companies you can tell a brief story based on their leadership.

Steve got everyone their Jobs, which let Tim Cook, and now that he's done, John will either Ternus into fans or haters.

Tim was more an accountant
That is a good thing for those who invested instead of buying a $1,000 iPhone every year.

Meh. Ternus is a fair bit younger than Cook, that’s all.

They’re not actors or media celebrities, it’s not “Reality TV”, so the look of their physical features really shouldn’t be a factor in measuring competency for the role.

You shouldn’t really care if your dentist is physically good-looking or not.. It’s but a measure of how good a dentist they are.

Hopefully Apple products go back to being sleek, yet functional, during his tenure as CEO. I’m tired of these BRICKS.
