^ I'm just envisioning putting it in my bag, and random little bits of fluff or an errant pen finding its way into the opening for a nice "plug the vents" fest or scratchfest. I definitely agree with you regarding the zipper, I don't want a zipper case either. I'm still considering a regular neoprene case that has no zippers or velcro -- just two halves that "yawn" to open.

I'm also interested in this case for my 11". As long as it will protect against potential scratches and dings, ect. I'm in. I was going to get a speck hard shell case but have read that they can cause some overheating.

Too impatient to wait for responses and ended up buying one to match my bag (black/red) lol. So I'll find out for myself, I'm sure I will like it.

Does anyone else have trouble getting their laptop in the Joli sleeve? I know she says that they should be tight at first, but I am literally using both hands and PUSHING the laptop into the sleeve with a lot of force, and it barely moves. I finally got it all the way in, and then getting it out was extremely hard. I've done this a few times and it's not much better. What have been your experiences?

Put about 1/4 in with one hand. Then, hold it on the edges and give it two or three shoves downwards. The Air will slide down due to inertia. Also, make sure you put it in the same way every time. (I do power cord side out, Joli logo side down.

It was initially a very tight fit, but it has loosened up a bit in the past few days.

What have been your experiences?

I really love this sleeve. I wanted a lightweight one, without magnets or zippers and held the computer vertically, and the Joli met all of those criteria. The sleeve is beautiful, yet simple and adds almost at all. I also use the sleeve on my lap when I am using the computer while sitting on the couch, and while it doesn't dissipate all of the heat, it does help a lot. All in all, I am a happy camper with my purchase.

My only reservation, and it's a small one, is the sleeve potentially loosening to the point that the computer falls out (a flap would have been nice) but only time will tell regarding that issue.

Here are a few photos I snapped just now:

ETA: This is my 11" MBA, not the 13" listed in my signature. I still have 13" MBA that I plan to sell, eventually.

I don't have their product for the MacBook but purchased one of their wallets and am waiting for my iPhone sleeve to arrive.

They're great! Well made product and very responsive. I highly recommend 'em!

Got one of these as part of a deal with a 13" air. My gf uses the air in a speck shell so it wouldnt fit in the sleeve.

I gave the sleeve to my sister today. She loves it. There's no way I'd ever pay that much for the sleeve, but I can see why people would.

Very high quality, perfect fit.

Best sleeve on the market

I have the 13" MBA sleeve in black and green. I looked everywhere for the perfect sleeve, including all top-of-the line retailers. This one beats those out by far. I have been using this sleeve for roughly 3 weeks, and the fit is perfect! Joli and Harold are a joy to work with! Some of the best customer service out there!

I'm getting one for my 13" as a Christmas present from my husband. At first I was going to go with neoprene because I think it's a bit lighter, but I emailed them and asked how heavy the joli covers are and based on that I think I'll go with them. They look gorgeous but also look like pretty good protection.

Another positive review

I have a sleeve and a wallet from Joli. These are top-quality items obviously made by people who care.

You won't be disappointed.

how long do these guys take to ship ?

My stuff took only a few days to reach Minnesota, remarkable considering they come from Holland.

It's another example of attention to detail only possible from a small manufacturer who puts their personal touch on every aspect of what they sell.

Safe to buy from? Absolutely. I rec'd a handwritten thank you note from the artist/creator with my orders. These are good people.

If your CC issuer charges you for the foreign exchange, you will pay a fee. US issuers typically charge 3% or less for this. But not all charge this fee. I have no idea how UK issuers operate.

These look extremely nice, but wow are they expensive (converts to an estimated $114 USD including shipping). Considering all of the positive reviews and the "personal" ordering experiences though, I think they sound 7like great people to do business with.

If I can get a black/aqua 13" MBA within the next 3 weeks, I'm in. I've already contacted her, so we shall see! Looking forward to it :D

I've been wanting something fully enclosed, but I don't really like neoprene as it just looks/feels cheap to me. Instead, I bought a zipper case from Best Buy (Incase, maybe?), which was a heathered gray denim-like material, but ended up returning it. Now I have ordered a Level8 one from Apple (http://store.apple.com/us/product/H0760LL/A/LEVEL8-13-Protective-Sleeve-for-MacBook) which should be ready for pick-up on Friday. It's the only one I've found with a handle, and I like that it has an extra pocket which will hopefully fit my iPad. But like I said, I'm not a huge fan of neoprene... I wish I could've seen it in person, but it's been out of stock at the nearby Apple stores for weeks. I finally decided to just order it online for in-store pick-up just to check it out. If it's nice, I'll use it for travel. If not, I'll just return it.

Back to the Joli sleeve though... man that looks nice. I'd like to have that for times I don't need to bring the charger, as well as just everyday around-the-house storage (to ease my paranoia of scratches). My only concern is that the wool felt would scratch the MBA. Highly doubtful, otherwise they wouldn't be using it of course, but the word "wool" is all that has me wondering, haha.

And now I'm realizing that this post is way too long for something I don't even have yet...

UPDATE: Well, I pre-ordered the black/aqua today for when she gets the new batch of materials in. I hope it's as awesome as everyone says!

I have a Jolie for my MBA 13" (brown and green) and it's just BEAUTIFUL. I love it. Customer service was efficient and friendly and shipping was quick. I decided not to get one for my iPad, though, I have a cotton one instead which can also accommodate my smart cover and/or my external keyboard and stylus when I need it - so that I can have everything in one place. I got that one from here:

Consider me another satisfied customer :D

I've had my Joli sleeve for about a week or so and I gotta say it's quite nice. It feels very high-quality, very well-made, and just flat out looks good. It's a bit snug at first, but it's leather of course, so it forms to a nice fit (just like your shoes would).

The leather is very soft and feels great when carrying it. The snug fit also makes it feel very secure, so absolutely no fear of it slipping out unexpectedly, and even the stitched edges seem like they would add protection from an accidental drop.

Customer service was fast and responses were very friendly. I was even pleasantly surprised at how nicely wrapped it was when I opened it, complete with a hand-written thank you note and all. Of course that doesn't affect the product itself, but it's a nice touch and makes you feel like they really care about their work and their customers.

My only complaint is not even with the product itself, but actually the MacBook Air... I wish they would've put the MagSafe power supply port on the other side, haha. I want to put it in the sleeve with the right side facing out, but the power cord is on the left... so I either have to not charge it in the sleeve, or put it in "backwards" so the port is available, but that just feels weird to me. I've been alternating but I hope that doesn't ruin the fit of the sleeve. I think I'm just gonna pick one and stick with it.

Anyway, for anyone on the fence, I say go for it!

I have had mine for a really long time now. I usually have it the other way around so I can use the Magsafe adapter while it's in the sleeve, but you can put it in with any side first. Sleeve still looks great.

Only one big disadvantage, I want to have a second one in a different color ;-)

Do you ever alternate which way you put it in? I mean I was thinking as long as I always put the "thin" edge (the front) facing the same side, the shape would be close enough to not cause any malformation. Or do you always have it Mag-side-out?

I guess I would just like to have it Mag-in for most transportation, and only Mag-out when I need to charge it at night or something. I just don't want the leather to get 'confused' on which shape to hold...

I got one for my 13". I love it. The fit is a bit tight initially but then it loosens up. Great customer service, too. I highly recommend it.

Ordered my Brown and Orange 11' MBA sleeve - I think i'll get the sleeve before the machine haha. Will post pics of when i get it. Exciting times.
