But wouldn’t Prosser be able to figure that out? It seems like others in the rumor mill basis are jealous this guy is getting scoops. 9to5Mac wont report on any of his stuff.
Having said that this latest rumor does seem unlikely.
9to5 Mac used to be such a great place to go until the whole Prosser fiasco. They really disappointed a portion of their readership with their articles at that time. And instead of making up, they went in the other direction. Actions speak louder than words. They wrote some absolutely silly, unprofessional articles about him that they took down and yet projected Prosser to be the unprofessional one. Irony.

It is worth noting he has been working on this Apple Glass story since before the SE 2020 launch.

Important detail here— he said they aren’t using a projector of any kind and are just using some kind of display inside the glasses lens. This is actually impossible. Breaks the laws of physics impossible. Your eyes can’t focus on a screen at that distance without another lens in between to focus your eyes. That’s why a VR headset is so bulky. You can get around this by projecting images into your eye, however...
I was thinking something similar. That doesn’t make much sense. But he also said it obtains information using LiDAR which could certainly work to obtain, and relaying would require some sort of projection into the glasses.
One thing to keep in mind is he may not be reporting that information accurately, say for instance if his source is in a non-English speaking country that is involved in the supply chain
I don’t think this story should be written off. Prosser knows his reputation is at stake and he is confident. Many people discredited him with the SE launch info and he stuck to his guns. And he was the one who was right in the end.
