I’m going to hope for the best, but I’m just not sure how I feel about this. The Daily Show was a product of its time; I’m not sure what works anymore. As long as it isn’t like anything on late-night television currently, I might watch.

I don't think he's going for that format with this show at all. I'll take his voice in the middle of this mess, however he chooses to provide it.

Will Apple allow Stewart to say some of the words he uttered as host of The Daily Show or will Apple consider them inappropriate since Apple wants TV+ to be a wholesome family oriented platform?
Have you actually watched any of the Apple TV+ programs? Sure, there are some "wholesome, family-oriented" shows, but there are also plenty that are anything but.

Apple allows swear words, masturbation, violence, nudity (at least partial), sexual content, etc.

Where did you get the idea that it is a “wholesome family oriented platform?”

Seriously, Apple is nailing it. In addition to all the fiction in many genres to documentaries, to major films, tv+ had been missing a current affairs show. I hope this collaboration leads to a weekly show on the platform. I’d also love to see News Today added to tv+. It’s currently audio only but it wouldn’t be a stretch to record it in a studio.

But will he make fun of the president if Biden wins??
His job was never to make fun of the president in particular, it was to make fun of hypocrisy and stupid policies. One can find places to do that in any administration (and he's not limited to just the White House). It's just that the current administration has so much hypocrisy to go after. So, sure, he'll probably poke some fun at Biden.

I am disgusted. Stewart is a hate monger and a liar. I once again regret the editorial content of the Apple Corporation. There will never be a fair and balance perspective found on anything Apple now endorses. A shame.
You know that the network that puts "fair and balanced" in big bold letters is anything but, right? They're pretty much the propaganda arm of the current administration.

Current affairs = liberal politics. Not sure how successful it will be if Biden wins and Democrats control all of congress.
Nah, satirical current affairs takes the piss out of everything and everyone that deserves it. It's just that the conservative politicians are so utterly ridiculous and corrupt at their core that there's so much extra stuff to take the piss out of them with that it comes across like they are liberal shows.

It will be interesting to see the direction this goes. Colbert/Stewart used to give stage (albeit satirical) to Conservative/Liberal voices, respectively, but it has since become far less balanced.
That's because the conservative side has become more and more ridiculous and corrupt. Their core is to steal from the poor and give to the rich while pretending that's not true with very clever three word slogans. The liberals have some ridiculous and corrupt stuff too, but they are swamped by the conservative side these days.

Ah like the suppression of the pedophile videos of Biden’s son, by the rest of the media?

Both of you, please post sources.

Cool. I’m pretty down the middle and current radicals on both sides are something I don’t subscribe to. But I have to wonder, would apple sign a conservative host to balance? Probably not. Which IMO is a fail.

I’d offer that the balance itself has shifted from reality to non reality. If they right want to rejoin reality I’m positive Stewart will welcome the conversation. He has never shied away from anything. It’s a welcome return.

I love Jon Stewart.

I love how during the Bush and Obama administrations, the right constantly tried to paint The Daily Show as a news program, and whenever Fox News got called on their BS, they tried to point to Jon Stewart as some sort of left-equivalent.

It's a slow-burn with Apple, but I can see them having a decent library of original content within five years if they keep at a steady pace.
