"Ex-wife says he was in Alabama when girl slain" cnn says.

Im pretty convinced this guy didnt do it and is making up the whole thing to be in the media.

Im gonna guess he was just obsessed with the little girl and her murder and is doing this to embed himself as a part of her and her story.

He seems to be absorbing all the fuss about him and is glowing a bit.

The man is sick but he did not do it.

I predict a week from now this will all be a big hoax...

Later, as he was escorted to his guesthouse by U.S. and Thai authorities to pick up his belongings, he told The Associated Press: "I am so very sorry for what happened to JonBenet. It's very important for me that everyone knows that I love her very much, that her death was unintentional, that it was an accident."
Karr, a divorced father of three boys, also said he wrote JonBenet's mother, Patsy Ramsey, before her death in June and told her "many things."
KCRA

Her death was an "accident"?

He loved her "very much"?

Also, where was I when the mother received a letter from her daughter's killer?

This is weird.

ummm... why is the DoHS involved? was mr karr in possession of toothpaste?
He was overseas when he was arrested, I suspect that's the reason.

He has admitted that he has done "intense" research on the murder, years worth. He knows so much that we dont because of his obsessive research and not his involvement.

This guy is definately lying.

Everyone is going to feel very duped very soon.....

The prosecuters are desperate so they of course are buying his shtick too.

i'd expect either the FBI or US Marshals Service to be responsible for bringing mr karr to the US, and the FBI for making the relevant announcements. afaik, neither organization is part of DoHS.

i don't think the overseas-ness of it is enough for DoHS to take jurisdiction, and therefore i find it strange that they made the announcement. or is it purely a political score for DoHS?

At any rate, I formally retract any statements I've made in the past where I said I thought her parents were somehow responsible. It's just too bad that this guy's confession couldn't've come while Patsy Ramsey was still alive...

Id hold off on that retraction clayj. unless there is some shocking evidence announced at this press meeting in a half hour this is all going to be one big prank IMHO.

They did mention Karr knew details about the murder that was not public knowledge, so this is getting interesting. The tabloids are having a field day with this one.

Immigration is now under the DoHS, which is why they are involved.

I agree with some other posters, I have a feeling that this guy is some quack that has fantasized that he did it. Though, they must have some type of hard evidence that he was involved. Supposedly, in cases like this, you always have some nut cases that try to confess to the crime they didn't commit, so, the DA would have to be pretty dumb to make this big of fuss over just some nut case.

this isn't immigration, karr's a US citizen. this is extradition.

does this strike no one else as odd?

Have they already made a movie out of this story? I assume they have. Perhaps it's time to make another one.

Good grief. Why in the name of all that is good and decent would you joke about something like this?

Its just as obscene as the murder itself.

This guy is definately going to jail, It might not be for the murder....

No, it's not odd.

Immigration and Customs handles extradition cases because it involves bringing someone into the country, citizen or not. When you travel back from a foreign country, what department do you think handles your return back? Customs. Yet, you are are US Citizen.

Apparently instead of a traditional extradition, Thailand yanked his visa, booting the issue to the two countries' immigration/customs departments.

Another hole in the confession: he says he employed drugging but no drugs were found. What a sick bastard to mess with the family like that!

i would like to believe you. do you have some evidence to back that up?

When you travel back from a foreign country, what department do you think handles your return back? Customs.
that's different from extradition, even if the same outfit handles it.

He's definitely a couple of french fries short of a Happy Meal.

I don't believe him.

You accidently wrapped packaging string around the kid's neck and then tightened it with an old paint brush? I'm with Freeny.

I still stand by my "hes full of ****" theory.
I believe they arrested him becuse;

A- hes a known pedophile.
B- they just found out that he landed a job teaching 2nd graders.

They probably figured to grab him on those points alone.

This man has an abnormally large head and tiny little neck. It is like a living bobblehead doll.

You are totally right about that. There is something very strange about his "confession". The way his responses are worded, his body language, his "no comments" on details of the crime. He just seems like some psychotic pedophile that wishes he had done it.

Maybe he is this user from the AOL search fiasco (from http://m.news.com/AOLs+disturbing+glimpse+into+users+lives/2163-1030_3-6103098.html):

Some searches are just plain weird, or scary, or both. Here are excerpt of what AOL user 59920, who apparently lives in the Boulder, Colo., area, typed in over a three-month period:
cats skinned in fort lupton co
cats killed in fort lupton co
jonbenets autopsy photos
crime scene photos of the crawl space and duffle bag in ramseys house
sexy bathing suits
what a neck looks like after its been strangled
pictures what a neck looks like after it was strangled
pictures of murder victims that have been strangled
pictures of murder by strangulation
knitting stitches
what jonbenet would look like today
new jersey park police
jonbenet in her casket
ransom note in the movie obsession what did it read
movie ransom notes
scouting knots
manila rope and its uses
brown paper bags cops use for evidence
rope to use to hog tie someone
body transport boulder colorado

So... the guy was visiting Thailand when he got pinched. Why? Is he into kiddie pr0n? (Seems like a lot of the talk I've heard about Thailand is that it's a place where people go to indulge their weird and often illegal-in-the-US sexual appetites...)
You are correct. Unfortunately, its usually sickos from the US that create the demand... and the Thai's are all to happy to create a supply. Scarily it's mostly doctors and lawyers (and school teachers) who do these things... Just thinking about it makes me sick... makes me wand to go to thailand: Jack Bauer style.

Perhaps now the media will give the Ramsey case a rest. Im tired of hearing about already!

He also had his pants pulled half way up his chest, too.

I am going to get flamed for this, but he also seems very gay.

I noticed both of things too. I saw him and heard him and thought....gay. My Gaydar was all over that one.
