Maybe not that wacked, he managed to get out of Thailand, get a 1st class ride to the states and is now walking free.

I bet he did this to avoid spending time in a Thai prison for child porn charges. I'm not sure how Thailand is when it comes to human rights or prisoners. But I bet compared to the US, conditions are pretty crappy, hell, they might even be one of those countries that does **** like chop your arms off if you steal. So maybe he figured, he'd confess to this crime, and spend time in a US prison, where, compared to Thailand, conditions are good. He'd get clothing, shelter, 3 meals a day. He might've ended up in solitary confinement, protecting him from harm from other prisoners. And he probably would've gotten crap like cable TV. Heaven compared to what he would've gotten in Thailand.
I hope they charge him for all of the transportation and court costs. He should also be changed with making a false confession.

Why does everyone here give theories about the mom killing her? I mean, you would think that the authorities didn't do a DNA match of both parents anyway?
Finding JonBenet's parent's DNA on her wouldn't prove much. Finding DNA of strangers would be useful evidence.Music_Producer said:

as i recall, the police nabbed him. he didn't come asking to be arrested. if anything, we should hold the police accountable for getting the wrong person. as for being charged for making a wrong confession, how about all the other innocent people who were jailed due to being forced into a wrong confession? should they be released and then charged again for false confession?

Makes you wonder what classes and courses Investigators and Prosecutors have been trained in, today. Making a Case 101 would be bonehead level law. Actually I never saw a news report on this guy at first-----but I was told about the confession by a friend and my mom one day....I immediately said this is b*ulls*hit and there is no way this dude raped and murdered JonBenet. Yes, I knew he had to be some kind of weirdo sick pervert but I knew he had nothing to do with that case. Geez!
Unfortunately it is likely that this sicko is going to end up molesting or killing some other little kid because of the idiots in charge. Hopefully some other lunatic will kill the dude before he is ever able to hurt anyone!
