As you are so clever why don't you just take your vast and innovative portfolio to Apple and demand they fire Ive and put you in his place. I'm sure it will take all of 5 minutes to prove to them that you know so much more than SIR Jony Ive. And we will all run to buy your great innovative products when they come out in six months
The situation is that developing quality products takes time. The Samsung approach of releasing a bunch of half-finished garbage like the gear would never work for Apple. And Apple has long gaps between new product lines.Jony has been doing quite a lot of interviews lately.

However, with Steve gone somebody credible has to go out there and do interviews to counteract all the negative bull that is in the media these days, and Ive is the right guy for the job since he was the one who made all of Steve's greatest designs. This is probably a distraction for Ive, but it is better than letting the more foolish shareholders get too whipped up.
you do understand that the MP of a camera is not the end all and be all of its power. And in many cases it is the least of the factors.

I didn't realize we were still using the term "fanboys". 2011 called and they want their internet buzzword back. Be more innovative. But If by fanboy you mean customer who refuses to buy inferior products and apparently has a much better understanding of tech than you do, then yeah, I'm a fanboy.
Best thing I took away from this is it doesn't seem like he's interested in leaving anytime soon. That is great news because he's probably the most important guy at Apple, they are screwed without him.
Be careful, calling someone a troll, even if it is true, is the only thing that will get your post taken down around here. As far as MacRumors is concerned, troll page views and ad clicks are as good as anyone else, and they are going to protect the trolls like an endangered species. Notice how there is no way to down-vote them or hide their posts? No post is too low quality to appear here.

I would say that a sapphire lens cover, retina screens, the flash assembly from the 5S, polycarbonate over steel frame from the 5C, M7, 64 bit processor,
Touch ID and many other things found inside these so called 'non innovative' items released since 2006 would cover that

So you want a new phone design every year. Why? Laptops have looked the same now since basically forever. Other than increasing the screen size I'm not sure how a new iPhone will look much different than the previous one. Nokia Lumia's look just like the N9 which was released in 2011. Galaxy S3, 4 & 5 all look similar except for screen size. And the leaked shots of the new HTC One look almost exactly like the current HTC One. What exactly are you looking for in a redesign?

How about a new OS that features more than just a redesign. How about a simple feature like schedule test messages. How about an innovative project like Google is doing with Glass. How about something more than just updating a camera and processing power that nobody will use or notice at least and come out with innovative features like air gestures and eye detection. How about redesigning a new phone and not just come out with new colors and SLIGHT design changes every year. That's what I want. Sorry if I am asking to much.

You act like iOS 7 was just cosmetic; new icons, etc. Sure it could use more, but your mischaracterization would support the claim that you own no Apple products or didn't previously have any iOS 6 device before your iOS 7 device.

For starters, go use a computer from 2002, if processor doesn't mean anything to you. And use a cell phone camera from 2004. I enjoy better processor + better quality camera optics. I NOTICE.

I know several friends with Scamsung phones, who can't wait for their contracts to be finished to get iPhone instead. No, you're asking the wrong questions. Blah blah blah blah blah.
As much as people complain about how design should be more than aesthetics unless something looks aesthetically different they don't think it was redesigned. The 4/4S was glass and stainless steel. The 5/5S is unibody aluminum and glass with diamond tipped cutters for the chamfered edges. Yet people still claim the 5 is just a "stretched out 4S". I'm sure the engineers at Apple who worked on mass producing diamond tipped cutters that are long lasting wouldn't call it that.

I'm sure reading sites like this makes them rip their hair out. When you spend so much time working hard on something and then a bunch of armchair experts who completely overrate their own intelligence bash it you probably want to punch them out.
