Wonder how much that cost him :p

I am amazed on what engineers like him do. I barely got by college algebra and trust me, I went to tutoring any chance I could get. I cant even imagine those advance math classes:eek: .

Bio Teacher;)

Surprised Tim doesn't have one. Guess he think it's too expensive... or it could send the wrong image. Steve also looks like the type who would've preferred the SS model.

I can't quite tell, is that rose gold or yellow gold? It looks good, but I do think I prefer SS with the black band.

Hard to tell if it's gold or stainless. Could be yellow gold with midnight blue buckle.

I've seen him wearing rose gold with white sport band but that obviously wouldn't look right with a suit.

Wouldn't have expected Ive to be wearing the edition! Makes sense though I guess, looks good

I like Tim Cook , he can wear anything, and chooses to wear the SS with a white band. I'm not in favour of the apple execs wearing the edition.

Why shouldn't an Apple exec be able to use a product they make? I'd rather people wear what they like than wear something just so they don't appear a certain way to outsiders. Eddy Cue wears the stainless steel watch but has a sizable car collection (that cost an "obscene" amount of money) that he's shown off to app developers. I don't think wearing the stainless steel watch means he's one of us.

He joined Ferrari’s board in 2012 and in a recent meeting with the makers of an automotive-themed app, he spent much of the time showing off pictures of his sizeable car collection on his iPad mini. “I tried to calculate how much he must have spent on cars but I stopped counting when I got to ‘obscene’,” said one person who was in the meeting.

Maybe Tim wears stainless steel simply because his personal taste isn't gold. I haven't seen any of them wearing a Sport watch.

Maybe Tim Cook is also down to earth and not pretentious .... Who cares, I like the fact he wears a SS with the White bands, it's very apple in my opinion.

So if someone wears a gold watch that means they're pretentious?

Considering wearing gold basically advertises the impression of being wealthy, this is only true if the wearer is not actually wealthy.

So definitely not applicable to Jony Ive or any Apple executive.

As far as being the designer that watch is his "baby". I don't blame him for wanting to keep his most expensive baby close by. Different story for everyone else... But honestly - who cares. This is a drop in the bucket for most apple VP's.

I suspect he's got one of each, really. And a good many bands. Why not?
