12,000 workers...14,000 lunches, who's having more than one lunch?!
In the old Cafe Macs, Apple employees traveled from various different buildings on campus for lunch. Same will happen with the new one. The employees from Bubb and other satellite buildings will visit for lunch :)

Aww come on, Apple could give their workers lunch for free !

Too bad Steve isn't there to "pay" for lunches for other coworkers deducted from his $1 salary :)

They could, but the subsidies are really high. A burrito with high quality meat and veggies was around $3-4, sandwiches were about the same. All of the food was heavily subsidized when I visited.

Apple staff probably spend most of their lives working there, so yea i can see why it's so great. People dedicate their lives to Apple so it's detrimental they have a great working environment.

What he forgot to mention is that Apple built this facility so that employees like it better than their home and have more amenities there so they can work longer hours. Just sayin' - that's why companies build campuses like this.

You find it cynical that companies try to see that their employees actually want to come to work?

Open work spaces suck

Amen. I saw that photo and my initial thought was, "damn, I'm grateful I don't work there." They can have all the rest, if I can't work due to endless, idiotic distraction then it's pointless. But I think that you and I are a certain type of worker who has problems with this. Some people don't care.
