Sadly he worked on… he lose his Colors taste on thé front, red us mot pink!
All the back colors look very nice but not in the front, same with this huge white area, and why not bord less in 2021?

Is that why it still has the massive chin? Or why it's thin to the point of being impractical, while still coming on a stand that only has tilt adjust?
i honestly don't understand the thought process here. they had a choice between slightly thicker screen with no chin or a thinner screen with a chin. when using the computer, you will always see the chin while the only time you will notice the thickness if you are walking from the side.

not even in the market for a new iMac, but it looks significantly better in person than photos, stock photos, or video imo

For one I hadn't a clue the bottom chin was colored glass and seamless with the white glass bezel, not aluminum, until I saw it in person.

For another I just think it looks better than I expected

Kind of full circle since he worked on the original, and this is the first in a long time that seems to have the spirit of the first one.

That first one really was magical. Even before seeing it in person, I loved it. And then in person, I was pretty amazed. It was a great computer, extremely fast at the time. I wish I had kept mine (the Bondi one). I gave it away to family. I still have my G4 Cube, and it would have made a great complement sitting next to it.

I don't know if people remember he had experimented with translucent plastics before the iMac (like the molar Mac, the eMate, and the 15" Studio Display), but the iMac was at a different level.

With such a stunning and beautifully fresh design I was wondering if Ive was involved. It was mentioned Apple would be a client of LoveFrom when he left, so this shouldn't be surprising.

A *huge* part of Apple's success is the result of Ive's vision and the designers working under him in the past. I'm very much looking forward to more collaborations with him.

This isn't a surprise to me since its so thin. I am sure that this new M1 chip and the small designs that it enable are his ultimate dream..

see that’s the problem though. You just used common sense.

You completely ignored the fact that the white bezel is to match the white walls people have even though the marketing shows a colored wall matching the color of the iMac chin. AND you need to ignore the fact that the chin is a different color then the white bezel and the screen is black when it is off, which means it no longer matches the “white wall” theory.
